Dozens of workers and machines are being mobilized to construct the underpass at An Phu intersection, aiming to finish before April 30.
The An Phu Intersection Project includes the HC1 and HC2 underpasses. Of which, the HC1 underpass is 760 m long, has 4 lanes, and connects the Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway with Mai Chi Tho Street; the HC2 underpass is 480 m long, has 4 lanes, and passes through the Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong intersection.
The intersection is designed with 4 overpasses, helping vehicles turn in different directions. At ground level, the project has a central circular island combined with a symbolic tower.
Particularly at the Mai Chi Tho - Dong Van Cong intersection, in addition to the underpass extending through this area, the project also builds two more overpasses to connect the routes, helping traffic flow more smoothly. In addition, Giong Ong To bridge on Dong Van Cong road and Ba Dat bridge on the highway access road will also be expanded, adding 2-3 more bridge branches to increase traffic capacity.
