After more than 2 years of construction, the Central Maternity Hospital and the Central Children's Hospital, branch 2, located next to Thang Long Avenue, passing through Quoc Oai district, are completing the final stages to prepare for operation. The two hospitals are built on a total area of about 12 hectares, located in the administrative boundary of Ngoc My commune (Quoc Oai district, Hanoi) on a land with convenient traffic location, about 20 km from the center of Hanoi, adjacent to Thang Long Avenue, National Highway 21A and Provincial Roads 80 and 81.
The two projects have a total investment of nearly 1,500 billion VND, of which the Central Maternity Hospital, Facility 2, has a total investment of more than 600 billion VND, and the Central Children's Hospital, Facility 2, has a total investment of 880 billion VND.
According to Dan Viet reporters, after more than two years of construction, both hospitals are gradually completing the final items to prepare for operation.
Specifically, the investment project to build the Central Maternity Hospital, Facility 2, has a total investment of more than 600 billion VND, with the Central Maternity Hospital as the investor. The project started in February 2023. After more than 2 years of construction, the Central Maternity Hospital 2 is completing the final stages to prepare for operation.
The North of the Central Maternity Hospital project, Facility 2, borders Thang Long Avenue, the South borders the medical center planning area, the East borders the Central Children's Hospital project, Facility 2, the West borders the 24m road and the urban green planning area.
The Central Maternity Hospital 2 project is newly invested in construction on a total construction area of about 6 hectares, including a 3-storey administrative block, an 8-storey technical block, 2 6-storey inpatient treatment blocks along with a number of auxiliary works, synchronous and modern technical infrastructure.
Central Obstetrics Hospital, branch 2 in Quoc Oai, with complete infrastructure and modern, advanced technical equipment, aims to provide health examination services, improve the quality of reproductive health care for mothers and newborns in Hanoi and neighboring areas.
Central Maternity Hospital, Branch 2, has a scale of 300 inpatient beds with the capacity to organize health examinations for about 1,000 people/day.
At the construction site, workers and machinery were mobilized to actively construct project items.
Next to the Central Maternity Hospital project, branch 2, is the Central Children's Hospital project, branch 2, with a total investment of more than 882 billion VND, topped out in September 2023.
At this time, colorful paint layers have appeared on the buildings of the National Children's Hospital, branch 2.
The project of the National Children's Hospital, Branch 2, has now taken shape and is completing the final stages to prepare for operation.
The project includes several main structures such as a 3-storey administrative building, 2 6-storey inpatient treatment blocks, with 1 basement below.
Pediatrics Hospital with 300 inpatient beds, complete infrastructure and investment in modern, synchronous medical equipment.
After coming into operation, the hospital will also be a center for training and developing highly qualified human resources in pediatrics nationwide.
The two projects of the Central Maternity Hospital, Facility 2 and the Central Children's Hospital, Facility 2 are included in the Master Plan for the Capital's construction to 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister in 2011 to help reduce the load on maternity and children's hospitals in the inner city.
