12 'hot' destinations must have at least 1 night tourism product

Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Doan Van Viet has just signed Decision 1894/QD-BVHTTDL on promulgating the Project on a number of models for developing night tourism products.

Accordingly, the Project is implemented to promote the advantages of night services to develop diverse, unique, sustainable night tourism products in Vietnam with high quality and added value.

At the same time, affirming the brand and enhancing the competitiveness of Vietnam's tourist destinations, increasing tourist attraction, increasing spending and extending the length of stay of domestic and international tourists, contributing to making night tourism a key product to develop the night-time economy in Vietnam.

The project aims to strive by 2025 for the following localities: Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thua Thien - Hue, Da Nang, Khanh Hoa, Hoi An (Quang Nam), Da Lat (Lam Dong), Can Tho, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Ho Chi Minh City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau to have at least 1 model for developing night tourism products.

Notably, separate night entertainment complexes will be formed in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City. The average length of stay of tourists in the project areas will be increased to at least 1 night.

By 2030, separate night entertainment complexes will be expanded in major tourist centers such as Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Thua Thien - Hue, Hoi An (Quang Nam), Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa), Da Lat (Lam Dong), Can Tho, Phu Quoc (Kien Giang), Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

Synchronously develop night tourism products in tourist centers where there are large numbers of tourists. Form a brand for Vietnam's night tourism products.

Regarding the development of night tourism products, there are 5 models set out in the project, including the following models: cultural and artistic performances; sports, health care and beauty activities; night shopping and entertainment; night sightseeing and introducing culinary culture and night food services.

From there, the project proposes solutions for implementation, focusing on urban planning and management, policy mechanisms, service organization and management, human resources, investment, market orientation, and promotion and application of information technology.

In terms of policy mechanisms, the project clearly states: Based on legal regulations and policies on night-time economic development and actual conditions, research and consider proposals to adjust regulations on time of provision.
