That was the sharing of Ms. Le Lan Chi, CEO of ZaloPay, at a sharing session with the media in Ho Chi Minh City about ZaloPay and especially the multi-purpose QR code provided by this unit.
Multi-purpose QR code, a service Zalo Pay focuses on developing |
In recent times, ZaloPay has focused on developing users, integrating and working closely with Zalo to launch many new features (direct money transfer via Zalo chat, cooperating with retail partners such as Big C, F&B like KFC to create sales channels and customer care on Zalo...). Thereby, there have been more than 11.5 million active users (users who download the app, connect to the bank and have transactions) by the end of 2022.

“ZaloPay also focuses on developing financial products and providing utilities for customers, partners and recently the service of opening a Securities Account on ZaloPay, which is extremely simple and safe. Besides many services, the special service of 2023 is the multi-purpose QR code product, which solves the headaches of partners when having to manage too many QR codes,” said Ms. Le Lan Chi, CEO of ZaloPay.
Regarding the multi-purpose QR solution, this is a solution to help users as well as service providers become more convenient. According to ZaloPay representative, the current reality at service points is that many QR codes from different parties are being used, which is very inconvenient when customers come to use the service, the staff has to explain how to use each party, and when conducting cash flow reconciliation, they also have to work with different partners. Meanwhile, with the multi-purpose QR code, the service provider only needs to use a single QR code, and users can use different wallet or bank applications to pay more quickly and conveniently.
ZaloPay's multi-purpose QR code has been widely applied. |
Ms. Le Lan Chi added: “Currently, this solution has been deployed by ZaloPay at 237 different large and small store chains, of which 65% have been deployed for businesses providing food and beverage services, 35% for retail businesses... and in the coming time, we will focus on bringing the multi-purpose QR code service to many customers and users”.
