Yen Bai grants investment decisions to 8 projects

In 2023, in the context of many difficulties and challenges, with the determination and efforts of the entire political system from the province to the grassroots level, along with the efforts of the sectors and business community, the socio-economic situation of Yen Bai province has achieved important results: Completed and exceeded the plan of 29/32 targets. The growth rate of gross regional domestic product (GRDP) reached 6%; ranked 7th out of 14 provinces in the Northern Midlands and Mountains region, ranked 36th out of 63 provinces and cities. The economic structure has shifted positively. GRDP per capita reached over 50 million VND.

Yen Bai province has focused on supporting and removing difficulties and obstacles for enterprises, cooperatives and investors. In particular, the Steering Committee for Investment Attraction of Yen Bai province has been established, headed by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. Yen Bai province has issued policies to support enterprises and cooperatives, which have been put into practice and proven effective. Along with that, the movement "Weekend with people and enterprises" and the "Business Coffee" program have been maintained. Periodically organize conferences to meet enterprises and investors, regularly dialogue with enterprises to promptly grasp and remove difficulties, creating favorable conditions for investment attraction.

With these efforts, in 2023, Yen Bai province had 350 newly established enterprises with a total registered capital of over 3,700 billion VND; 104 newly established cooperatives and 574 cooperative groups. 42 investment projects were granted investment approval decisions, with a total registered capital of nearly 5,800 billion VND and 20.4 million USD.

By the end of 2023, Yen Bai province had 3,206 enterprises, 727 cooperatives, and 5,280 cooperative groups. In 2023, enterprises paid nearly 1,600 billion VND to the state budget, accounting for over 60% of the total balanced revenue in the province. At the same time, creating jobs for over 48,600 workers.

At the conference, representatives of enterprises, cooperatives and investors shared their experiences in production and business. At the same time, they pointed out difficulties and obstacles so that the province could continue to focus on orienting and removing difficulties for production and business activities and attracting investment.
