Working in a main unit with high training intensity and combat readiness, Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Toan always proactively discussed and agreed with the Party Committee and unit commander on forms and measures to manage and educate soldiers. He always set an example in implementing the "four together" with soldiers (eating together, living together, working together, sharing together). Thanks to that, Toan always grasped the soldiers' thoughts and concerns, which was the basis for the unit to organize movements and deploy effective models. One of the models effectively deployed by Senior Lieutenant Nguyen Cong Toan and the unit commander was "Supporting the training ground". He proactively coordinated with the unit's sister units to organize the collection of herbs to boil water, then chill them and bring them to the training ground to serve the soldiers on hot days.

In addition, he proactively organized training ground activities, promptly educated and encouraged soldiers to enthusiastically train well. The unit always ensured a high number of healthy soldiers, strictly enforced discipline, and inspected the annual training contents, 100% of the subjects and subjects achieved good, excellent, and safe results.
