Rice price today April 14: Fresh rice decreased

Rice prices today, April 14, 2025 in the Mekong Delta region did not fluctuate much. The market volume is small, rice products are relatively stable, fresh rice prices tend to decrease compared to the weekend.

Regarding rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, currently, IR 504 raw rice fluctuates at 7,850 - 8,000 VND/kg; OM 380 raw rice fluctuates at 7,700 - 7,850 VND; 5451 raw rice fluctuates at 9,600 - 9,750 VND/kg; OM 380 finished rice fluctuates at 8,800 - 9,000 VND/kg; IR 504 finished rice fluctuates at 9,500 - 9,700 VND/kg.

As for by-products, the price of by-products ranges from 6,600 - 9,000 VND/kg. Currently, broken rice 3-4 ranges from 6,650 - 6,800 VND/kg; bran price ranges from 8,000 - 9,000 VND/kg.

Recorded in localities today, the quantity is better, rice of all kinds is relatively stable, buying and selling is slow. In An Giang, the demand for warehouses is slow, prices fluctuate little. In Lap Vo (Dong Thap), the quantity is small, most large warehouses buy and sell slowly, prices are stable.

Sa Dec market channel (Dong Thap), in terms of quantity, warehouses continue to buy slowly, select rice, prices remain stable. At An Cu (Cai Be, Tien Giang), quantity is low, warehouses buy slowly, prices fluctuate little.

At retail markets, rice prices of all kinds remained unchanged compared to the weekend. Currently, Nang Nhen rice has the highest listed price of VND28,000/kg; regular rice fluctuates at VND15,500 - 16,000/kg; long-grain fragrant rice fluctuates at VND20,000 - 22,000/kg; Huong Lai rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Jasmine fragrant rice fluctuates at VND18,000 - 20,000/kg; Nang Hoa rice fluctuates at VND22,000/kg; Taiwanese fragrant rice fluctuates at VND21,000/kg; common white rice fluctuates at VND17,000/kg; Soc regular rice fluctuates at VND18,000/kg; Soc Thai rice is priced at VND21,000/kg; Japanese rice is priced at VND22,000/kg.

Similar to rice, according to the update from the Department of Agriculture and Environment of An Giang province, the current price of OM 18 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,800 - 6,900 VND/kg; the price of Dai Thom 8 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,900 - 7,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 5451 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,200 - 6,400 VND/kg; the price of IR 50404 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 5,800 - 6,000 VND/kg; the price of OM 380 rice (fresh) fluctuates at 6,000 VND/kg; the price of Nang Hoa 9 rice fluctuates at 6,550 - 6,750 VND/kg.

In many localities today, dry rice transactions of all kinds have slowed down, farmers offer to sell regularly but traders buy little; fresh rice transactions are quiet, prices tend to decrease slightly. In An Giang and Can Tho, fresh rice transactions of all kinds are still slow, prices are stagnant. In Long An, traders offer to buy little, buying and selling transactions are quiet.

In Kien Giang, the quantity is still small, the supply of Hon Dat rice has decreased a lot, the price tends to decrease. In Bac Lieu, the price of fresh ST rice is high, traders ask to buy little, many areas of fragrant rice have been deposited.

In the export market, Vietnam's rice export prices remained unchanged compared to the end of the week. According to the Vietnam Food Association (VFA), currently 5% standard rice is at 397 USD/ton (down 2 USD/ton); 25% broken rice is at 369 USD/ton; 100% broken rice is at 317 USD/ton.
