If the "senior" Grande mainly targets middle-aged women and office workers, the Janus 125 is clearly influenced by the usage style of Gen Z. Therefore, the Japanese car company applied a series of changes to the new generation Janus 125 with the message "Match Your Freak - The J system is strange", expressing the freedom and personality of young people.

The new Yamaha Janus 125's appearance has softer contours combined with a streamlined rear end. The long taillight cluster curves along the body of the vehicle in a U-shape design. This is also the most recognizable feature of the Janus scooter model.
On the new generation, the Janus 125 saddle is 77 mm longer, providing users with a comfortable sitting position and easy adjustment to a suitable sitting position. The limited edition integrates a heat-resistant function with a PVC layer made of a material that limits heat transfer and includes a heat-reflecting layer.

Similar to the saddle, the footrest is also extended by 20 mm compared to the previous generation, thereby helping users feel more comfortable while moving. The storage compartment has a larger capacity than the previous generation by 1.1 liters and is equipped with insulation and an integrated USB charging port.
The vehicle uses tubeless tires. The multi-function LCD screen has a minimalist design with modern fonts, helping users easily monitor parameters in all lighting conditions. The front lights are always on, combined with 2 unique turn signal strips.

Yamaha Janus 125 uses a 125cc Blue Core engine with electronic fuel injection. The temporary engine shutdown system on the Special and Limited versions allows the vehicle to temporarily turn off the engine when stopping for more than 5 seconds and restart when accelerating, helping to save fuel. The scooter is equipped with a Smart key system (on the Special and Limited versions) with a knob to help locate the vehicle, turn on/off the electric lock, open/lock the steering wheel, and open the saddle.

According to the plan, the Yamaha Janus 125 scooter model will be officially sold on the market from October 15, 2024. The Standard version has a suggested retail price of VND 29,151 million, the Special version has a price of VND 33,176 million and the Limited version has a suggested price of VND 33,382 million. These are retail prices based on the value added tax (VAT) rate of 8%.
From January 1, 2025, car prices will be adjusted according to the 10% VAT rate, and thereby, the suggested retail prices of each version will be VND 29.69 million, VND 33.79 million and VND 34 million respectively.
