Ha Tinh Club flourishes
Before the 2024-2025 V-League season kicked off, perhaps the most optimistic fans of Ha Tinh Club could not have imagined that their favorite team would be the only undefeated team and currently ranked 2nd on the rankings. It's too unbelievable! Because just 4 months ago, they struggled to keep their place in the V-League after a very difficult victory against PVF-CAND.
It is too early to say that Ha Tinh FC will be successful this season. But at least, up to now, they have made a very strong impression. In particular, the mark of coach Nguyen Thanh Cong is too great. First, he and his colleagues made very effective deals. In the midfield, he brought in Dang Van Tram, a "sweeper" who grew up from The Cong Viettel Club and this midfielder did not disappoint him thanks to his impressive ball recovery ability. In the right wing position, two new players Huynh Tan Tai and Bui Duy Thuong helped Nguyen Trong Hoang to be "liberated". The midfielder from Nghe An played more in the midfield, contributing more to the team's playing style.
Xuan Truong and Ha Tinh Club are on the rise
On the attack line, Geovane Magno and Mbo Noel are also playing very well. While Magno has 3 goals, winning the V-League Player of the Month award for October, Mbo also has 2 goals, 1 assist and a series of passes creating opportunities. In the center-back position, overseas Vietnamese Adou Minh and foreign player Helerson are creating stability for the Red Mountain team. Adou Minh even scored 2 goals, including the only goal to help Ha Tinh Club beat Nam Dinh Club 1-0 in round 1, the first shock of V-League 2024 - 2025. And at the moment, Ha Tinh Club is the team with the most solid defense in the tournament when only conceding 4 goals.
The 'resurrected' people
And more than helping Ha Tinh FC improve, Coach Nguyen Thanh Cong also helps players who are considered "out of date" gradually come back stronger. Xuan Truong has always played consistently since last season. This season, with Van Tram supporting him behind in the 4-1-4-1 formation, the midfielder from Tuyen Quang has been allowed to attack more, approach the opponent's penalty area more and make many smart passes, creating opportunities for his teammates. This is a tactical system that helps to maximize Xuan Truong's strengths, like when he played very well for the Vietnam national team, led by Coach Nguyen Huu Thang (at the AFF Cup 2016).

Van Tram, a player who has spent a long time recovering from a knee injury, has also left his mark. He always plays with dedication, responsibility and is not afraid of collisions. Huynh Tan Tai, Bui Duy Thuong, Huynh Tien Dat, Viktor Le, players who are not used much at the Hanoi Police Club (CAHN), Binh Duong, Binh Dinh, are also gradually finding themselves again in the Ha Tinh Club shirt. Both Tien Dat and Duy Thuong have had 1 assist this season and Viktor Le just scored the decisive goal to help Ha Tinh Club beat HAGL 1-0.
As for Geovane Magno, he is trying to regain his image as a "fierce god" in the eyes of the defenders of V-League teams. Before his rise again with Ha Tinh Club, he went through two most forgettable seasons since playing in Vietnam. In the 2023 season, he only played half a season due to injury. In the 2023 - 2024 season, he scored a total of 2 goals. But now, he has 3 goals and this number will not stop.
When confidence has returned to coach Nguyen Thanh Cong and the players, Ha Tinh Club may cause even more surprises.
