On April 12, the Phoenix Flames pickleball club with members Eugenie Bouchard, Jack Sock, Tyson McGuffin, Jessie Irvine and Pesa Teoni arrived in Hanoi.
They will attend the "MLP Day" exhibition event on April 15, which will feature tennis player Ly Hoang Nam and several other rising Vietnamese pickleball players. This activity is part of the Phoenix Flames Club's tour and image promotion in Asia.
Among the international athletes, Eugenie Bouchard is a famous name with a personal account of more than 2.3 million followers. She was excited to go to the walking street on the occasion of the 2025 Hanoi Tourism Gift Festival.
Here, Bouchard and her teammates had the opportunity to experience food and cultural booths, such as playing stilts, listening to stone instruments, and drinking tea. On her personal page, Bouchard also posted pictures of herself eating pho cuon and watching water puppetry. She proudly captioned the post: "I rolled it myself."

Bouchard was born in 1994, is of French, Canadian and Irish descent, is 1.78 m tall, is a professional tennis player and has switched to pickleball in the past 2 years. She won the 2012 Wimbledon junior championship and was ranked 5th in the world tennis rankings for women's singles.
Since 2023, Bouchard has temporarily stopped playing tennis and switched to professional pickleball. Like Ly Hoang Nam, she has not announced her retirement from tennis, but has only turned to a new direction because she "found special joy" in playing pickleball. In just over 2 years of playing pickleball, Bouchard has climbed to 14th place in the women's singles world ranking.
As for Ly Hoang Nam, he has just confirmed his participation in the "MLP Day" performance competition event in Hanoi and is working with the organizers on the upcoming schedule.
