Talking to Thanh Nien , Mr. Tam, the son of People's Artist Thanh Tuan, said that after a period of intensive treatment by a team of specialized doctors at Cho Ray Hospital (HCMC), the male artist's health improved and he was discharged from the hospital to go home. Artist Thanh Tuan is currently resting at his private home in Go Vap District, HCMC.

"My father's health is stable, he is mentally alert, and can eat and drink normally. He is currently undergoing physical therapy to be able to walk normally. Initially, the family wanted him to stay in the hospital for further monitoring. However, the doctors let him go home to rest so he can be more comfortable. In about 1-2 days, the doctor will come to visit and check on him," shared the son of People's Artist Thanh Tuan.

As for People's Artist Thanh Tuan, he sent his thanks to the leaders, fellow artists, the audience, the media, especially the medical team of Cho Ray Hospital for helping him overcome the "near-death" attack. The 75-year-old artist expressed: "I don't think I can be sitting here consciously at this moment. I am grateful to the board of directors and all the medical team of Cho Ray Hospital for saving me and giving me a second life. I would also like to thank everyone for their concern and prayers."

Currently, Thanh Tuan's children are always on duty, taking turns taking care of him. Mr. Tam said that the male artist hopes to recover his health soon to return to the stage. "Dad has always been passionate about art, passionate about singing to serve the audience. Previously, doctors advised him many times to limit himself, not to sing too much because he has a history of heart disease. But he has always been passionate about singing, and could not give it up. Many times when he went to the province, the audience admired him so much, they wanted him to sing more, so he sang 5-6 songs. If after this time, dad can still return to the stage, the family will always support him. However, the family will have to limit and only accept suitable programs. For example, we will choose for dad to sing on stages near Ho Chi Minh City, limit going to the province, and also not let dad sing too hard anymore," Mr. Tam added.

Previously, People's Artist Thanh Tuan was taken to Cho Ray Hospital by his relatives for emergency treatment (afternoon of March 25) due to a recurring heart attack. The male artist was admitted to the hospital in a state of cardiac arrest due to acute myocardial infarction, 3 coronary artery branches blocked with severe calcification of blood vessels. Faced with the emergency, doctors consulted and applied a series of methods, giving a suitable treatment regimen for him. In particular, the doctors decided to set up ECMO (extracorporeal oxygenation system) right in the cardiac catheterization room. After that, the doctor continued to intervene in the coronary artery through complex techniques such as drilling and cutting calcified plaques, balloon angioplasty, and stent placement. The surgery lasted 2 hours and ended successfully.

Artist Thanh Tuan was born in 1948, real name Nguyen Thanh Liem, born and raised in Quang Ngai. He is a famous cai luong artist, at the same time as Minh Vuong, Le Thuy, My Chau, Minh Canh. The male artist made an impression with many works such as Nguoi cau bong trang, Khoi song tieu tuong, Duong kiem Nguyen Ba, Tay Thi, Nguoi tinh tren chien tran, Xuan nay con khong ve, Nho Nha Trang, Chuyen xe Tay Ninh, Dong song que em... He was awarded the title of Meritorious Artist in 2007 and the title of People's Artist in 2019.
