Along with the whole country, especially after the re-establishment of Ninh Thuan province (April 1, 1992) until now, in any circumstances, officers and soldiers of Ninh Thuan Border Guard have always been faithful to Uncle Ho's teachings, united in one heart, always maintained a close relationship with the people, promoted the combined strength to build a solid all-people border defense posture in the all-people national defense posture associated with the people's security posture. Ninh Thuan Border Guard has advised the Provincial Party Committee, Provincial People's Committee, Party Committee, Border Guard Command to lead and direct the good implementation of the tasks of managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of the border and sea areas, maintaining political security, order, social safety, environmental protection, natural disaster prevention and control and search and rescue, participating in economic, cultural and social development, consolidating political bases in the area..., contributing to building the province's sea border area increasingly stronger. Generations of cadres and soldiers always have steadfast political will, are absolutely loyal to the Party, devoted to the people, ready to receive and excellently complete all assigned tasks; the overall level of cadres and soldiers is increasingly improved, their command, management and working capacity always meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
Along with the task of managing and protecting sovereignty and security of the coastal border, Ninh Thuan Border Guard also actively participates in helping people, working with localities to develop the socio-economy, build a political system at the grassroots level, contributing to hunger eradication and poverty reduction, improving people's lives; assigning cadres and party members of border guard stations to be in charge of helping poor households and poor villages, helping people to work, produce, and eliminate temporary houses; coordinating with the health sector to organize combined military-civilian medical programs, prevent epidemics, examine and provide health consultation, provide medicine and free treatment for people; helping localities repair and renovate rural roads, organize environmental protection models, build cultural highlights, legal bookcases, etc., contributing to accelerating the progress of new rural construction.
Notably, in the period of 2019-2024, agencies and units in the Provincial Border Guard have successfully completed the annual emulation targets and contents. In particular, many contents have been excellently completed, especially the tasks of protecting sovereignty and security of the sea; training, combat readiness; preventing and combating all kinds of crimes; rescue; participating in economic, cultural and social development in border areas; building a strong and comprehensive regular unit, "Exemplary, typical", clean and strong party organization. The Provincial Border Guard has continuously implemented well the emulation movement "The whole country joins hands for the poor - leaving no one behind", the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas, civilized urban areas"; enthusiastically organized activities: "People's Border Guard Festival", the program "Spring Border Guard warms the hearts of the villagers"; actively support localities in implementing new rural criteria... The green-uniformed soldier also actively advises on implementing many programs, models, projects, and meaningful jobs to help people develop the socio-economy, reduce poverty, and improve their lives in a sustainable way. These are movements with profound humanitarian significance such as: Sponsoring poor households; Helping children go to school - Adopted children of Border Guard stations; mobilizing to build solidarity houses and charity houses for families with meritorious services and the poor in border areas. Accordingly, the Provincial Border Guard has sponsored 21 students in difficult circumstances in the coastal border area with a support level of 500,000 VND/child/month, of which 2 children were directly adopted at Vinh Hai Border Guard Station (Ninh Hai); receiving support for 29 ethnic minority students in difficult circumstances in the project "Army officers and soldiers help children go to school" with a support level of 7.4 million VND/child/year; Supported 100 breeding cows for 100 households in especially difficult circumstances in coastal communes and towns of the province; mobilized over 1,500 working days, contributed 8.5 billion VND to repair and renew inter-village concrete roads; more than 2,000 poor households received capital, plant and animal seeds; organized medical examination and treatment for 1,650 people, provided free medicine to policy families and poor households... Coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels to mobilize donors inside and outside the province to build and hand over 17 houses worth over 1.1 billion VND; visited and presented gifts to policy families and poor households in the area with 3,910 gifts, 2,650 kg of rice and 5,670 Chung cakes; presented 3,500 photos of Uncle Ho, 12,000 national flags, more than 1,800 life jackets... to ethnic minorities and fishermen in the coastal border area.
Colonel Ngo Van Lang, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard, said: In 2025, the Provincial Border Guard will focus on preparing and successfully organizing the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term; organizing activities to celebrate the 66th anniversary of the Border Guard's Traditional Day (March 3, 1959 - March 3, 2025). Strengthening information and propaganda so that cadres and people are deeply aware of the requirements and tasks of protecting the sovereignty and security of the Fatherland's maritime borders; the tradition of solidarity, heroism and contributions of the Border Guard in building a strong people's border defense, firmly managing and protecting the sovereignty and security of the sea and island borders; promoting patriotism, self-reliance, and self-reliance to overcome difficulties and challenges, actively contributing with the army and people of the province to build Ninh Thuan homeland to become increasingly prosperous and strong.
