Hue Festival 2024, with a four-season orientation, will continue to exploit the festival series throughout the year, gradually building a new festival program system, including: Spring Festival - "Spring of the Ancient Capital" (taking place from January to March); Summer Festival - "Shining Imperial City" (taking place from April to June); Autumn Festival - "Hue in Autumn" (taking place from July to September); Winter Festival - "Winter of Hue" (taking place from October to December).

In particular, on the basis of inheriting the achievements of previous festivals, the highlight of Hue Festival 2024 is the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 with the theme: "Cultural heritage with integration and development" taking place from June 7-12.

Accordingly, the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 includes 9 major events taking place continuously for 6 days and nights with the main performance space at the Hue Royal Palace heritage site and community spaces along the banks of the Perfume River and central streets of Hue City.

The opening ceremony will be held at 8:00 p.m. on June 7 at Dien Kien Trung Palace, kicking off a series of exciting activities of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.

Street festival “Cultural Colors” on the afternoons of June 8 and 10; performances by domestic and international art troupes from 7:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. from June 8 to 11 at community stages in Quoc Hoc Square and 3/2 Park; music program “Dialogue Trinh Cong Son - Love Found” hosted by the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with musician Trinh Cong Son’s family and Bamboo Artists Agency, taking place at 6 p.m. on June 9 at Dien Kien Trung stage (Hue Imperial City).

During the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, there will also be a beer festival, a light festival, a vegetarian food festival, a flower lantern festival, and the "Tam Giang Waves" festival.

Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 promises to bring participants new and unique experiences about culture, history and art.

This is a place where attractive performances by famous domestic and international artists converge, introducing royal court music and dance and unique folk melodies; high-quality traditional and contemporary art programs from 8 countries from different continents take place every night.

According to the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2024, up to now, 12 international art troupes from 7 countries around the world have registered to perform at the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024.

Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024 is also a place where special traditional art programs of Asian national art troupes converge such as: Zhejiang Dance Troupe (China); Kobugakudan URAKAJI Drum Dance Art Troupe of Okinawa City (Japan); Sae nyuk Folk Art Troupe; Korean Culture and Arts Association - Yangpyeong Branch (Korea)...

Speaking at the Press Conference, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Ta Quang Dong shared: Hue is an ancient capital, containing many layers of culture, rich and diverse. The tangible and intangible cultural heritages, documentary heritages... are rich potentials that need to be preserved, exploited and promoted. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism always supports and accompanies the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province in inventorying heritages, completing dossiers to submit to UNESCO to register heritages in the ancient capital.
