Building happy, high quality schools

Nguyen Trung Truc High School - Ben Luc was established and has been in operation for more than 1 school year. This has helped solve the difficulties in high school enrollment in the district and also met the needs and aspirations of students to study in high-quality classes.

Mr. Dam Van Tuyen, the school's principal, said: The school is honored to be named after the national hero Nguyen Trung Truc, a son of Ben Luc. His life is a shining example of patriotism, courage, and integrity for teachers and students of the school to follow.

In the first school year 2023 - 2024, despite many difficulties, the school has strived to complete its tasks excellently. With an innovative mindset and not afraid of change, the school's leadership and teachers have set the goal of building a happy school, developing the school in the direction of high quality of the province. Through educational activities, teachers always create conditions for students to promote their abilities, talents, and creativity, gradually forming and developing good abilities and qualities for them.

In the first school year, the school had 4 classes operating under the project “High School Operating in the Orientation of High Quality” of the province. The rate of good and excellent students reached over 94%; high school graduation reached 100%; university and college admission was over 91%. Many students achieved high results in their studies and major exams.

In the 2024-2025 school year, the school has 43 classes, including 8 high-quality classes with 1,746 students and 80 staff, teachers and employees. The school especially focuses on the method of learning while practicing, enhancing STEM education, helping students absorb and remember knowledge more easily. At the same time, the school organizes many extracurricular activities for students to interact, learn from each other, and get closer to teachers.

Mr. Dam Van Tuyen affirmed that teachers and students of the school will be determined and strive to fulfill the tasks and targets in the new school year, especially focusing on educating students' personality, ethics, lifestyle, and skills, while improving the quality of subjects.

Nguyen Van Bo Secondary School in Tan Phuoc Tay Commune, Tan Tru District, Long An is the school named after comrade Nguyen Van Bo (1929 - 1968), a revolutionary soldier, an excellent son who made many contributions to the revolutionary cause of his hometown Tan Tru.

The school was invested in and built by Him Lam Joint Stock Company in the form of a "turnkey" project with a cost of about 35 billion VND, inaugurated at the beginning of the 2024 - 2025 school year. This is the first school in the district to be invested in and developed in the direction of high quality, its establishment has contributed to solving difficulties in facilities, aiming at the goal of building a school that meets national standards, improving the quality of education and training, associated with implementing the criteria for building an advanced new rural district.

The project was completed after just over 5 months of construction, in time to serve teaching and learning activities in the new school year. Notably, when calling for investment in building the school, the Nguyen Van Bo Scholarship Fund was also established (March 14, 2024) from the idea of ​​Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission Tran Van Ron.

Mr. Tran Van Ron and his family supported the fund and mobilized benefactors to donate 1.3 billion VND to the Nguyen Van Bo Scholarship Fund; many organizations and individuals also joined the Fund.

Chairman of Tan Tru District People's Committee, Trinh Phuoc Trung, said that the Nguyen Van Bo Scholarship Fund is directly managed by the district to support disadvantaged students; reward students with high academic achievements, contributing to training quality human resources to serve the homeland.

Being an excellent student for five consecutive years, Huynh Anh Ngoc, the class monitor of grade 6, was a student who received a scholarship when entering Nguyen Van Bo Secondary School. She shared that her brother is in grade 7, her parents are factory workers. Their income is not much, they are very busy, so her grandmother is the one who often takes her and her brother to school. At the beginning of the new school year, Ngoc was given a bicycle. She is very happy because now the two brothers have a bicycle to take each other to school, and her grandmother no longer has to work hard.

Tiny, agile and active, Huynh Anh Ngoc shared that she loves going to school and is good at Math and Literature. She always tells herself to study well to be able to fulfill her big dreams in the future.
