Duy Hoa Commune celebrates 50 years of Homeland Liberation

At the ceremony, delegates together reviewed the heroic and indomitable fighting tradition of our army and people in the resistance war against foreign invaders.

After two resistance wars against French colonialism and American imperialism, Duy Hoa has more than 1,535 martyrs, 350 wounded soldiers, 412 mothers who were awarded and posthumously awarded the honorable title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother. Duy Hoa commune has been awarded the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces by the Party and State three times.

After the day the homeland was completely liberated, the Party Committee, government and people of Duy Hoa commune focused on exploiting the maximum potential and advantages in economic development while mobilizing resources to invest in building infrastructure. Since then, the appearance of the countryside has increasingly improved, and people's lives have significantly improved.

In 2024, Duy Hoa's average income per capita will reach 66 million VND, an increase of 12 million VND compared to 2020. Currently, the commune's poverty rate is 1.71% (all are social protection beneficiaries), down 2.53% compared to 5 years ago.
