Congress of Party Committee of Navy Division 21, Command of Coast Guard Region 2

On the morning of March 31, in Tam Quang commune (Nui Thanh district), the Party Committee of Navy Division 21, Coast Guard Region 2 Command held the 4th Congress of Delegates, term 2025-2030.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Covid-19 pandemic has been a prolonged outbreak, greatly affecting the global economy, including Vietnam. The world and regional political and security situation has fluctuated, posing significant challenges for the Coast Guard. However, with a proactive, positive, self-reliant and self-reliant spirit, the Party Committee of Squadron 21 has led the unit to successfully and excellently complete its tasks during the 2020-2025 period.

During the term, the Fleet organized 381 ships and boats to patrol and protect sovereignty at sea, thereby inspecting and penalizing 368 ships violating the law with a total fine of nearly 3 billion VND. The unit also presided over the fight, arrested, investigated, consolidated evidence and prosecuted 1 case with 1 subject for illegal possession of drugs. At the same time, coordinated with local authorities to fight and arrest 3 cases with 4 subjects for illegal drug trafficking and possession.

Sea rescue work was carried out effectively. During the term, the Navy organized 16 ships and boats to participate in sea rescue, rescuing 56 crew members, supporting 11 fishing boats and floating vehicles, searching for 4 bodies, bringing 6 patients from the island to the mainland, and providing medical support and emergency care to injured people on the ships in distress.

In foreign affairs, the Fleet strictly complies with regulations on international cooperation. The unit participates in joint training missions with the Japan Coast Guard, conducts joint patrols in the waters adjacent to the demarcation line of the Gulf of Tonkin between Vietnam and China for the first time in 2023, as well as visits, works, shares experiences and exchanges with the Philippine Coast Guard...

In addition to the achievements, in the past term, the activities of the 21st Fleet still had some shortcomings and limitations. The dissemination and implementation of breakthrough contents in some agencies and units were not really thorough, the application was not specific, leading to limited results in the implementation of some tasks. The work of grasping, forecasting and resolving the ideological situation in some units was sometimes not timely; the work of inspecting, supervising and managing cadres and party members was sometimes not thorough, leading to some cadres and party members violating discipline and having to be dealt with...
