2023 is the first year that the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Award (VCA) is launched to the digital content creation community nationwide. The Vietnam Digital Communications Association (VDCA) is the host and the Vietnam Digital Content Creation Alliance (DCCA) is assigned to organize the Award. The VCA Award will be held annually to honor individuals and organizations with positive contributions to the field of digital content creation.
Recognize and honor the contributions of organizations and individuals in creating content products with cultural and educational values, spreading positive values to the community. Aiming to contribute to promoting the development of the digital content industry, the film industry, and the cultural industry of Vietnam, spreading "Make in Vietnam" digital content products to the international community.

Sharing about the goal of organizing the award, Mr. Nguyen Minh Hong - Chairman of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, Head of the Steering Committee for organizing the VCA 2023 Award said: “The VCA 2023 Award is of great significance in promoting the development of the community of Vietnamese digital content creators. Promoting the development of the digital content industry, thereby contributing to promoting the cultural industry and will certainly contribute to the development of the digital economy in Vietnam. The Jury of the VCA 2023 Award has worked very actively and fairly to select outstanding names and honor them at today's award ceremony.”
After nearly 3 months of launching, VCA 2023 has received 256 applications in 7 categories, of which the outstanding animated film category has received the most attention with 99 applications.
From 256 entries, the Preliminary Round selected 77 entries for the Preliminary Round, and the Preliminary Council selected and nominated 44 entries for the Final Round. The Final Council voted for 15 entries to officially award prizes in 7 categories; 29 entries were awarded certificates and were voted into the Final Round.
According to the Organizing Committee, the entries come from businesses, organizations and individuals participating in the field of content creation, with a variety of ages, professions and areas of residence. The content creators are mostly young, from 19 to 40 years old, coming from many provinces and cities across the country. In particular, there are also Vietnamese people working in the US, Germany, and Africa who have submitted entries. The topics of the entries are very diverse, such as: Advertising for brands, tourism, music, education, comedy, animation, etc.
Representative of the Organizing Committee awarded the prize in the category 'Outstanding digital content products in the field of education'.
“The Preliminary Council has worked and reviewed each application very carefully, through which we can see that the applications have very rich topics, the creativity of the authors is expressed in both content, images and sounds, language of expression... The judging criteria are very clear so that the judges can score and vote in the most accurate way. We highly appreciate the quality of this year's applications, I think the Award needs to be expanded further in many content areas" - Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Lenh Hung Tu, Chairman of the Preliminary Council of VCA 2023 said.
Dr. Ngo Phuong Lan, Chairwoman of the VCA 2023 Final Jury, shared: “The potential of the digital content industry is indisputable because it is truly exploding. In an era where there are so many digital content products, we need to improve product quality and provide more professional direction for producers. Therefore, competitions and awards like VCA 2023 will help content creators pay more attention to the quality and value of their products. I hope that the Award will be increasingly widespread and raised to a new level each year. Contributing to Vietnam's digital content production industry becoming a spearhead industry, bringing many economic, cultural and educational values”.
The first-ever Digital Content Creation Awards 2023 has attracted great attention from the Content Creator community. The annual VCA Awards will play an important role in encouraging valuable content and positive impact on the community.
