Viettel High Tech is the first enterprise in Vietnam to be certified for the National Technical Regulations on 5G Mobile Information Base Station Equipment: QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT for gNodeB 32T32R and gNodeB 8T8R base station equipment.
Viettel High Tech is the first Vietnamese enterprise to be certified for National Technical Regulations on 5G Mobile Information Base Station Equipment.
On June 21, Viettel High Technology Industry Corporation (Viettel High Tech) announced that the Department of Telecommunications - Ministry of Information and Communications has just held a ceremony to award the Certificate of Conformity of 5G base station equipment 8T8R and 32T32R to Viettel High Tech.
Viettel High Tech is the first enterprise in Vietnam to be certified for National Technical Regulations on 5G Mobile Information Base Station Equipment: QCVN 128:2021/BTTTT for gNodeB 32T32R and gNodeB 8T8R base station equipment.
This is a very important milestone affirming that Viettel's equipment meets Vietnam's technical standards and national regulations, ensuring that "Made in Vietnam" 5G products are manufactured in accordance with safety, quality and performance requirements.
Viettel is currently capable of providing a full set of solutions for 5G networks from core networks, transmission networks and radio access networks, which are 5G base stations. 5G base stations play an important role in the telecommunications network infrastructure, with Viettel High Tech owning all hardware and software, from research, design to production.
To date, Viettel High Tech has deployed more than 300 gNodeB 8T8R stations and 10 gNodeB 32T32R stations in 4 provinces and cities: Ha Nam, Hanoi, Da Nang, Ninh Thuan. The stations operate stably, ensuring smooth network operation.
Over the past year, Viettel High Tech has coordinated with the Department of Telecommunications to fully evaluate 16 radio standards according to the standards. The standards in the above technical regulations are equivalent to the international standards of the ITU (International Telecommunication Union), the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) telecommunications association group.
In addition, Viettel High Tech also continuously adjusts and upgrades equipment, updating deployment capabilities on real network systems.
Director of the Telecommunications Department - Ministry of Information and Communications Nguyen Thanh Phuc commented: “Viettel’s successful self-production of 5G base stations not only demonstrates the Group’s pioneering and outstanding capabilities but also demonstrates the country’s technological autonomy. This is an important milestone in the country’s telecommunications technology development process, affirming the maturity and creativity of the telecommunications industry, while promoting the commercialization of 5G in Vietnam”.
Mr. Nguyen Vu Ha, General Director of Viettel High Tech, pledged to work with units of the Ministry of Information and Communications to continue improving products, meeting practical domestic needs, as well as bringing Made in Vietnam products to international standards.
Viettel is one of the few global developers that has gradually become an important enterprise in the field of providing 5G equipment. Viettel's 5G equipment has the ability to cross-integrate with network elements of different suppliers and opens up opportunities to save up to 20% of energy consumption per cell of the base station. In 2023, Viettel successfully exported its Private 5G system to India. In June 2024, Viettel continued to have the second commercial 5G contract with UTL Group in the billion-people market. This contract affirms the competitiveness of Viettel products, while opening up a channel to reach customer groups in many countries. |
