Vietjet opens more direct flights to Australia

Vietjet will operate a direct flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Perth, the airline's fourth direct route connecting destinations from Vietnam to Australia, from November 21.

Vietjet is the first airline to operate a direct flight connecting Ho Chi Minh City to Perth - the capital of Western Australia, the fourth most populous city in Australia. The Ho Chi Minh City - Perth route is operated by the airline with a frequency of 2 round trips per week. Flights depart from Ho Chi Minh City at 13:35 (local time) on Tuesdays and Saturdays, landing in Perth at 21:20 (local time). In the opposite direction, flights depart from Perth International Airport at 23:20 (local time) and land at Tan Son Nhat Airport (Ho Chi Minh City) at 5:05 (local time) also on Tuesdays and Saturdays every week.

The new route will increase the total number of flights between Vietnam and Australia operated by Vietjet to 19 round-trip flights per week. Previously, in April, the airline launched two direct routes connecting Ho Chi Minh City with Sydney and Melbourne; and launched a direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane from June.

In addition, the airline also operates connecting flights to destinations in Vietnam that it is operating to 4 cities in the kangaroo country.

To mark the opening of a new route connecting Perth with Ho Chi Minh City, Vietjet has launched a series of tickets starting from 0 VND (excluding taxes and fees) applicable to all routes to Perth, Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne on the Vietjet website or mobile app. Promotional ticket sales are open from 0:00 to 23:59 every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Flight times are flexible from August 10, 2023 to March 31, 2024 (except for holidays, peak periods... depending on the seasonal characteristics of each market). "The program aims to thank millions of passengers for their support and trust in Vietjet, helping the airline to continuously open new routes," said a representative of the airline.
