On the afternoon of October 2, at the headquarters of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), the ceremony to announce the main sponsor and draw the schedule for the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 took place.
Representatives of VFF and Thai Son Bac Company signed a cooperation agreement before the new season.
Mr. Duong Nghiep Khoi, General Secretary of VFF emphasized: “This is the 12th year that Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited has accompanied the National Women's Football Championship.
VFF hopes that the National Women's Football Championship in particular, and Vietnamese women's football in general, will continue to receive more attention from society, sponsors, and fans; along with the contribution of the media, Vietnamese women's football will make stronger progress."
It is known that Thai Son Bac's 12-year association with the national women's football championship is a record not only for football but also for Vietnamese sports in general.
As the representative of the main sponsor of the tournament, Mr. Tran Anh Minh, member of the VFF Executive Committee, General Director of Thai Son Bac Electrical Equipment Trading Company Limited also affirmed: “2023 is a special year for Vietnamese women's football when it participates in the World Cup for the first time.
The girls have left a beautiful image to international friends, with their brave fighting spirit. As the main sponsor of the national women's football championship for many years, we are extremely proud and happy when our contributions bring honor to Vietnamese football reaching the World Cup arena."
According to information from VFF, the National Women's Football Championship - Thai Son Bac Cup 2023 increased the total number of participating teams from 7 to 8, including: Hanoi I, Hanoi II, Phong Phu Ha Nam, Ho Chi Minh City I, Ho Chi Minh City II, Son La, Vietnam Coal and Minerals, Thai Nguyen T&T.
The teams compete in a two-legged round-robin format (home and away) focusing on the host city to calculate points, ranking from First to Eighth.
Each team is allowed to make up to 5 substitutions in a maximum of 3 substitutions per match. The tournament is scheduled to take place from November 16 to December 28, 2023 in Hanoi and Hung Yen.
