About the place where the first Party cell was established in Binh Thuan

Tan Tien Commune - La Gi Town is a land with a tradition of revolutionary struggle, where the first Party cell of Binh Thuan was established. From here the first revolutionary flame was lit, starting the revolutionary movement of the province. Inheriting that tradition, the Party Committee, government and people of Tan Tien Commune wholeheartedly followed the Party, contributing to the struggle to liberate the homeland, build and protect the Fatherland.

Under the spring sunshine and mild weather, we returned to Tan Tien commune, La Gi town, a locality rich in revolutionary tradition. It was in this land that the first Party cell of Binh Thuan was established. According to historical records, in early 1930, comrade Duong Chuoc (alias Tro Cham), a Communist Party member from Khanh Hoa, came to Binh Thuan to propagate and recruit a number of people into the Party. At that time, Communist organizations in the country had unified to take the name "Communist Party of Vietnam", so the organizations operated under that name. Through the organizational contact of the Southern Ky Bo of the Tan Viet Party organization (later the Indochina Communist Federation), comrade Duong Chuoc was enlightened about Communism and officially recruited teacher Ngo Duc Ton into the Party. From then on, teacher Ngo Duc Ton became more enthusiastic about revolutionary activities. Through the organization "Anti-imperialist Alliance", educating the spirit of patriotism, fighting against imperialist invasion, raising awareness of class struggle, gradually selecting dedicated and prestigious people among the people to enlighten revolutionary interests and put them into operation in a new direction. At the end of 1930, the first Communist Party cell in Binh Thuan - Tam Tan cell was officially established, including comrades: Le Thanh Lu, Le Chay, Ho Vu, Cao Co, Nguyen Huu Loi, Nguyen Gia Bat and comrade Ngo Duc Ton was appointed as cell secretary. The task of the cell at this time was to continue to develop good masses into small groups to propagate communism, hate feudal imperialism, fight for the rights of life and national independence. From the hardships of the struggle, many local elite masses matured, were educated and nurtured in revolutionary ideals. Then, every spring, which is also the time to celebrate the founding day of the Party, many veterans in Tan Tien commune cannot help but feel proud and moved when their own locality becomes a revolutionary flame burning in patriotic hearts. "We are always proud to be people of Tan Tien commune, where the first Party cell of the province was established. I hope that the younger generation will preserve and further promote the traditions of our homeland, to build our homeland more and more prosperous", Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Sau, Head of the Veterans Association of Hiep Tien village, Tan Tien commune shared.

As one of the young people born and raised during the period of national reunification, Mr. Nguyen Van Long - Secretary of Tan Tien Commune Union said: "The heroic moments of our nation have only been heard through stories and historical witnesses. However, the young generation here still deeply feels the significance of the first Party cell of the province being established in their homeland. To be worthy of that heroic tradition, we strive to compete to cultivate virtue, train our talents, and contribute our efforts and intelligence to build our homeland to become more and more prosperous and civilized."

Over the past years, the Party Committee and people of Tan Tien commune have constantly strived to achieve many great achievements in the cause of building their homeland. In 2015, the commune was recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as a New Rural Commune. People's lives have been constantly improved. The poverty rate at this time has decreased to 0.85/0.52%, reaching 163.5%. The locality is determined to maintain and improve the criteria for building new rural areas, creating a new look and rhythm of life in the homeland rich in revolutionary traditions. Mr. Le Phuc Hung, Chairman of Tan Tien Commune People's Committee, said that in 2023, with the focused leadership of the Town People's Committee, the Commune Party Committee, the supervision of the Commune People's Council, the comprehensive and focused direction of the Commune People's Committee, along with the efforts of the sectors, organizations, villages and people in the commune, the socio-economic situation, national defense and security in 2023 will have positive changes and achieve results according to the set plan. In particular, the locality pays great attention to Party building, considering it an important task and a top priority in implementing local tasks. From there, building a clean and strong Party organization, building a strong political system; maintaining and consolidating solidarity and unity within the Party and consensus in society.

Tan Tien - a land rich in revolutionary tradition is not satisfied with the current situation and will strive to rise up to be worthy of that heroic tradition. In the spring of Giap Thin 2024, our Party will be 94 years old, promoting the great values from the tradition of the revolutionary homeland, each person in Tan Tien commune with their meaningful work has been and is offering the Party and Uncle Ho the most beautiful springs.
