Domestic gold price slightly decreased, world gold price increased sharply
Domestic gold prices today, April 20, decreased slightly, losing the 84 million VND/tael mark for sale, while world gold prices continued to increase sharply.
Survey at 5:00 am today, gold prices on the trading floors of some companies are as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 81.65 million VND/tael for buying and 83.65 million VND/tael for selling.
At Mi Hong Gold and Gemstone Company, the price of Mi Hong gold at the time of survey listed the price of SJC gold at 82.10 - 83.60 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 81.80 - 83.70 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,391.77 USD/ounce, a difference of 12.62 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 72.220 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 9.58 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Japanese Yen exchange rate suddenly increased
The Japanese Yen exchange rate suddenly increased due to concerns about geopolitical tensions, the black market Yen exchange rate continued to increase slightly.
Survey on the morning of April 20, Japanese Yen exchange rates at banks, specifically as follows:
At Vietcombank , the Vietcombank Japanese Yen exchange rate is 160.50 VND/JPY for buying and 169.87 VND/JPY for selling, up 1.97 VND for buying and up 2.08 VND for selling.
At Vietinbank, the Yen exchange rate increased by 0.05 VND in both buying and selling directions, equivalent to 160.29 VND/JPY and 169.99 VND/JPY.
At Agribank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate for buying and selling is 160.49 VND/JPY and 168.45 VND/JPY - up 0.91 VND for buying and up 0.95 VND for selling.
At Eximbank, the buying price increased by 0.1 VND and the selling price increased by 0.3 VND, respectively at 161.4 VND/JPY and 166.64 VND/JPY.
At Techcombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.17 VND in buying and increased by 0.23 VND in selling with prices of 157.96 VND/JPY and 170.48 VND/JPY respectively.
At Sacombank, the Japanese Yen exchange rate increased by 0.93 VND in buying and increased by 0.9 VND in selling, corresponding to the prices of 162.51 VND/JPY and 167.54 VND/JPY.
Gasoline prices continue to rise
In the trading session of April 19, world oil prices edged up slightly after being in opposite directions in the previous session with Brent oil slightly decreasing and WTI oil slightly increasing.
According to data from Oilprice, at 8:47 p.m. on April 19 (Vietnam time), Brent crude oil was trading at $87.26 per barrel, up $0.15, or 0.17%, from the previous session. WTI crude oil was at $82.99 per barrel, up $0.26, or 0.31%, from the previous session.

Coffee prices slightly decreased, still above 122,000 VND/kg
Domestic coffee prices updated at 4:12 a.m. on April 20 decreased slightly compared to the previous trading session, but remained high. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is over 122,000 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 121,200 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 120,800 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 121,200 VND/kg.
The price of green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, coffee is purchased at 120,600 VND/kg.
Coffee prices today in Dak Lak province; in Cu M'gar district, coffee is purchased at about 120,000 VND/kg, and in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 121,000 VND/kg.
