Gold rises sharply, setting a new record
Today, SJC gold increased sharply in the afternoon buying price to 700,000 VND/tael, world gold increased vertically, setting a new price record.
At the time of survey at 5:00 a.m. on April 3, the gold price on the trading floors of some companies was as follows:
DOJI listed the price of 9999 gold at 78.60 million VND/tael for buying and 81.10 million VND/tael for selling.
SJC gold price at Bao Tin Minh Chau Company Limited is also traded by the enterprise at 79.10 - 81.05 million VND/tael (buy - sell). Meanwhile, at Bao Tin Manh Hai, it is being traded at 78.95 - 81.25 million VND/tael (buy - sell).
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 5:00 a.m. today, Vietnam time, was at 2,279.70 USD/ounce, a difference of 29.38 USD/ounce compared to yesterday's gold price. Converted according to the current exchange rate at Vietcombank, the world gold price is about 67.597 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees). Thus, the price of SJC gold bars is still 11.703 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
Domestic USD increases sharply, world reverses and decreases slightly
Today, VCB USD increased sharply by 80 VND in both buying and selling directions, while the world USD reversed and decreased slightly, slipping below the 105 point level.
The central VND/USD exchange rate announced by the State Bank is adjusted to 24,005 VND/USD, up 1 VND compared to the trading session on April 2.
Currently, the exchange rate allowed for trading by commercial banks ranges from 23,400 - 25,155 VND/USD. The US Dollar exchange rate has also been brought to the buying and selling range by the State Bank of Vietnam from 23,400 to 25,155 VND/USD.
The USD exchange rate at banks and domestic foreign exchange rates this morning recorded a series of upward adjustments at banks. Specifically, Vietcombank has a buying price of 24,680 and a selling price of 25,050, an increase of 80 VND compared to the trading session on April 2. The current USD buying and selling prices are in the range of 23,400 - 25,300 VND/USD.
In the world market, the Dollar Index (DXY), measuring the USD against 6 major currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, SEK, CHF), stopped at 104.76 points - down 0.25% compared to trading on April 2.
Gasoline and oil prices hit 5-month high, aiming for $89/barrel
Gasoline and oil prices on the international market today (April 3) tend to increase. Oil prices reached their highest level in the past 5 months. Brent oil prices approached the 89 USD/barrel mark while WTI oil prices exceeded 85 USD/barrel.
Oil prices rose on signs that demand for oil in China and the United States may improve. China is the world's top crude oil importer and the second-largest oil consumer. The United States is the world's largest oil consumer.
Manufacturing activity in China grew for the first time in six months in March, while the US also grew for the first time in a year and a half, which could boost economic growth and boost oil demand this year.
Meanwhile, tensions in the Middle East have continued to raise concerns about tight oil supplies.
The impact of production cuts and shrinking actual supplies has pushed oil prices higher.
In the domestic market, the selling prices of gasoline and oil today, April 3, are applied according to the price level of the management session on the afternoon of March 28. Accordingly, the selling prices of gasoline and oil products are jointly managed by the Ministry of Finance - Industry and Trade in the direction of increasing gasoline prices and decreasing oil prices. Specifically, the price of E5 gasoline is raised to 23,620 VND/liter. The price of RON95 gasoline increases to 24,810 VND/liter. In the opposite direction, the price of diesel oil decreases to 20,690 VND/liter. The price of kerosene drops to 20,870 VND/liter.
Domestic coffee prices rise again
Updated at 4:24 a.m. on April 3, domestic coffee prices increased slightly again, fluctuating around 99,000 VND/kg. Currently, the average purchase price in the Central Highlands provinces is 98,700 VND/kg, the highest purchase price in Dak Nong province is 98,800 VND/kg.
Specifically, the coffee purchase price in Gia Lai and Kon Tum provinces is at 98,700 VND/kg; In Dak Nong province, coffee is purchased at the highest price of 98,800 VND/kg.
Green coffee beans (coffee beans, fresh coffee beans) in Lam Dong province in districts such as Bao Loc, Di Linh, Lam Ha, are purchased at 98,200 VND/kg.
In Cu M'gar district, Dak Lak province, coffee is purchased at about 98,600 VND/kg, while in Ea H'leo district, Buon Ho town, it is purchased at the same price of 98,700 VND/kg.
