Because the 2023-2024 V-League returns with round 9 on February 17, all clubs have their players return to the field to practice early to maintain their fitness. Most of them have their first practice session on the morning of February 12 (the 3rd day of Tet), but some teams have gathered and taken roll call the day before.

The recent long break was also an opportunity for the clubs to make changes in the technical area, giving them more time to prepare under the reign of the new coach. These are Coach Kiatisak (CAHN Club), Coach Iwamasa Daiki (Hanoi FC), Nguyen Duc Thang (Viettel) and Vu Tien Thanh (HA.GL).

Coach Kiatisak will make his debut with CAHN Club in the match against HCMC Club. These are two teams that are considered to have the least stability in the head coach position in recent times. Although CAHN Club is the defending champion and has a strong squad of players, they have not yet been able to form a quality team like the time of "Vietnamese Chelsea" in Binh Duong or "Dream team" in HA.GL. Hopefully, the appearance of Kiatisak will help this team find the most standard formula in the style of "strong soldiers, strong generals".

Another team in the capital that also lacked stability in the technical area was Viettel. Right at the beginning of the recent break, they continued to change coaches and this time it was the former coach of Binh Dinh Club, Nguyen Duc Thang. Similar to Kiatisak, coach Nguyen Duc Thang also had a favorable debut when he played at home against Khanh Hoa.

The most exciting match is Hanoi FC, where new Japanese coach Iwamasa Daiki will make his debut with the new team in an away match at Thanh Hoa Stadium. The home team has been a top competitor of Hanoi FC for many seasons, and another challenge for Mr. Iwamasa Daiki is to compete with coach Popov, who is considered the foreign coach who has made the biggest impression in the past 2 years.

Hanoi Club continues to make adjustments in the technical area, this time with Japanese coach, Iwamasa Daiki.

Finally, HA.GL Club, after personnel adjustments, finally the steering table was handed over to Mr. Vu Tien Thanh. Two months, can be considered enough time for Mr. Vu Tien Thanh to make adjustments to the playing style according to his philosophy. This military leader will also face challenges on the day of his debut when HA.GL will have a trip to Ha Tinh in round 9.

After round 9, Nam Dinh is temporarily leading the rankings with 19 points; followed by Binh Dinh and Becamex Binh Duong with 16 points; Thanh Hoa with 15 points... At the bottom of the table are Ha Tinh, Khanh Hoa (6 points), HA.GL (5 points).
