On the morning of March 28, 2025, the National Innovation Center (NIC, Ministry of Finance) together with FPT Semiconductor and partners held the opening ceremony of the Semiconductor Incubation & Development Center (VSIC) and the Semiconductor Startup Incubation Space. VSIC's mission is to incubate and develop semiconductor businesses, technology, and talents and promote the competitiveness of Vietnam's semiconductor industry.

VSIC will have main activities including intensive and short-term training on semiconductors, connecting domestic and foreign technology partners, creating a foundation for the semiconductor ecosystem in Vietnam and consulting on overall solutions in the semiconductor industry.
The establishment of the VSIC Semiconductor Incubation and Development Center demonstrates the commitment to building a semiconductor ecosystem, making Vietnam an attractive destination in this strategic industry.
According to Mr. Vu Quoc Huy, Director of the National Innovation Center, the opening of the Semiconductor Incubation & Development Center and the Semiconductor Startup Incubation Space marks an important step forward in realizing the policy and orientation on breakthroughs in science, technology and innovation development.
Including promoting public-private partnership with the 3-House model: State - School - Enterprise to develop the semiconductor industry in Vietnam, contributing to realizing the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers in Vietnam by 2025 and having 100 chip design enterprises.
Mr. Tran Dang Hoa (Chairman of FPT IS and Chairman of FPT Semiconductor, FPT Corporation) said that the appearance of the semiconductor incubation center will open up more opportunities for Vietnamese engineers, improve the quality of human resources and create more opportunities for engineers to develop.
According to Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, Deputy Minister of Finance, close cooperation between the public and private sectors will create an ecosystem and develop sustainable human resources, helping Vietnam not only catch up but also gradually progress and rise in global technology trends.

Vietnam is currently one of the countries with the fastest growing digital economy in Southeast Asia, has a strategic geopolitical position, and has an abundant young, technology-savvy workforce. These are important premises for Vietnam to attract more and more large technology corporations in the world, especially in the high-tech industry.
