Pavlo Petrychenko, commander of the drone unit of Ukraine's 59th Mechanized Brigade, told CNN that Ukraine needs to destroy those weapons systems in order to sustain the fight to retake territory from Russia.
They are called "non-gunpowder weapons" because they do not require explosives but can cause great damage to the enemy.
According to the Economist, Ukraine realized in March that its Excalibur GPS-guided artillery shells were starting to miss their targets, and the same thing happened with its US-supplied JDAM-ER guided bombs.
Pentagon documents leaked in April revealed US concerns that Russian jamming was reducing the accuracy of US-made weapons deployed by Ukraine.
He also admitted that Russia is surpassing Ukraine in improving this capacity.
