Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to reports on land use plans in the province.

On February 23, the Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to a report reviewing the land use plan for the 2021-2025 period and the district-level land use plan for 2030 compared to the provincial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050. Comrade Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired the meeting.

According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DONRE), based on the allocation of national land use planning targets for the 2021-2025 period, with a vision to 2050 and the 5-year national land use plan 2021-2025 of the Prime Minister in Decision No. 326/QD-UBND, the Provincial People's Committee allocated provincial land use planning targets for the 2021-2030 period and the 5-year provincial land use plan 2021-2025 to districts and cities in Decision No. 297/QD-UBND, the DONRE has coordinated with the consulting unit to complete the dossier of the land use plan for the 2021-2025 period of the province and has advised the Provincial People's Committee on Submission No. 128/TTr-UBND dated August 3, 2022 to submit to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment for appraisal of the land use plan for the 2021-2025 period of Ninh Thuan province.

Regarding the review of the district-level land use planning to 2030 compared to the provincial planning, through the review, the basic indicators are unified. The total area of ​​industrial cluster land in the province is 785ha (according to the planning is 770ha); the total area of ​​commercial and service land is 1,380ha (according to the planning is 1,382ha); the land for non-agricultural production facilities is 828ha (according to the planning is 996ha); the land used for mineral activities is 222ha (according to the provincial planning is 2,193ha); the irrigation land is 9,328ha (according to the provincial planning is 10,121ha); security land is 635ha; the land for building educational and training facilities is 484ha; the energy land is 8,146ha; the urban residential land is 2,763ha; the economic zone target is 43,900ha in Thuan Nam and Ninh Phuoc districts. Regarding the land use planning indicators to 2030 in the land use planning documents to 2030 of districts and cities that have been approved compared to the land allocation and zoning plan for the period 2021-2030 in Decision No. 297/QD-UBND of the Provincial People's Committee, specifically: Thuan Bac district has 7/49 land use planning indicators, Ninh Hai has 11/49 indicators, Phan Rang - Thap Cham city has 8/49 indicators, Ninh Phuoc has 15/49 indicators, Thuan Nam has 14/19 indicators, Ninh Son has 8/49 indicators and Bac Ai has 12/49 indicators.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to study and advise the Provincial People's Committee to adjust Decision No. 297/QD-UBND according to the approved land use indicators in Decision No. 1319/QD-TTg on approving the Provincial Planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050; proactively make additional plans in case the Government adjusts Decision No. 326/QD-TTg. At the same time, the sectors coordinate to review and identify necessary and urgent projects for districts to adjust their district and city land use planning; for districts, urgent projects need to be adjusted in advance to be consistent with the provincial planning.
