Provincial People's Committee held a meeting to listen to reports on the implementation of key tourism projects in 2024.

On February 23, Mr. Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee chaired a meeting to listen to a report on the implementation of key projects in the tourism sector in the province in 2024. Attending were leaders of relevant departments, branches, localities and units.

As of early 2024, the province has 56 tourism projects that have been granted investment policy decisions and investment registration certificates (still valid), with a total registered capital of VND 52,469.2 billion. Of which, 23 projects have been put into operation, accounting for 41.1%; 20 projects are under construction, accounting for 35.77% and 13 projects are completing investment procedures, accounting for 23.2%. However, there are still a number of key tourism projects with slow implementation momentum, not meeting the set progress requirements; a number of tourism projects under implementation are facing difficulties and obstacles, so the progress is slow.

Comrade Trinh Minh Hoang, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Department of Construction and related localities to urgently review and advise on timely and definitive resolution of investors' difficulties; at the same time, request investors to develop detailed implementation progress plans for each project, have feasible capital mobilization plans to implement according to the committed progress and send them to the Department of Planning and Investment for monitoring, urging, and promptly advising the Provincial People's Committee to consider and direct the removal of difficulties and speed up the implementation progress. Particularly, projects that need to be inspected (Ba Be Lake Resort Project and Hon Do High-class Eco-Resort Project) will soon be comprehensively inspected; For projects that have been allocated land for lease but are behind schedule and meet the conditions for project suspension (Ninh Chu Sailing Bay and Aminia - Ninh Chu Luxury Resort), the Provincial People's Committee will consider approving the project and assign the Department of Planning and Investment to carry out the next steps in accordance with the law.
