Propaganda and education on Party history and traditional history

Recognizing the importance of propaganda and education on Party history and traditional history, in recent years, Party committees at all levels in the province have always focused on implementing this work. Thereby, raising awareness and sense of responsibility of cadres and Party members, especially the young generation, in preserving and promoting historical values, contributing to building the Party and building a clean and strong government.

Coming to Duc Linh these days, one can clearly feel the bustling atmosphere of competition in labor and study to make the homeland develop and innovate. In the fields, farmers actively take care of and harvest vegetables; in the factories, workers work enthusiastically; in offices from district to commune level, discipline, administrative discipline, and public service culture are strictly implemented... All of these things contribute to promoting the potential and advantages of the locality so that Duc Linh can make a breakthrough in socio-economic development.

The above results stem from the fact that the Duc Linh District Party Committee has focused on researching, compiling and having many innovative ways in propagating and educating the Party's history and revolutionary tradition in the district. From there, each citizen is more proud of their homeland, to join hands and hearts to develop Duc Linh homeland more and more.

According to the District Party Committee, up to now, 10/12 communes and towns have met the conditions to compile and publish Party history. All publications before publication are carefully assessed according to the process; the content and form ensure quality. After being published, the history books have been distributed to bases, agencies, departments, branches, organizations, veteran revolutionary cadres... to serve the needs of research, reference, study, and learning... Many commune and town Party Committees in the district have summarized the experience of compiling history, learned, selected and applied it to the leadership and direction of Party committees at all levels in localities more effectively; helping cadres and Party members fully understand the position and leadership role of the Party in the struggle for national liberation and the process of socio-economic development, maintaining national defense and security, and building the local political system.

Along with historical research and compilation, Party committees at all levels in the district continue to focus on propaganda and education of Party history and traditional history in many diverse and rich forms such as: Integrating into local educational materials, through research competitions, source activities, organizing seminars, visual propaganda, meeting historical witnesses, talking about revolutionary traditions... In particular, the District Party Executive Committee has directed the inclusion of local history in the curriculum for 5th graders and secondary school students in the district from the first semester of the 2023-2024 school year. Lessons on Duc Linh's history in the revolutionary struggle and the protection and construction of the homeland after the country's reunification, along with practical experiences of "returning to the source", have initially helped students understand and be proud of the people and the land - where they were born and raised. From there, it contributes to fostering revolutionary ideals, personality and will to rise up of the young generation in the district, adding strength and confidence for them to strive to excel in their studies and training, determined to build their homeland Duc Linh to become more and more rich, beautiful and civilized.

Variety of forms

Imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh: "Our people must know our history, to understand the origin of the Vietnamese nation", in La Gi Town Party Committee, in recent times, the propaganda and education work on Party history and traditional history has also been of regular interest to this locality. The Town Party Committee has directed the inclusion of local history content in the curriculum of the Town Political Center, high schools and integrated into Party cell activities. Every year, on the occasion of the Liberation Day of Ham Tan - La Gi homeland (April 23), major holidays and traditional days, founding days of agencies, departments, branches, the Front, political and social organizations, La Gi Town Party Committee has always led the organization of propaganda and commemorative activities to educate the revolutionary tradition of the Party in many diverse forms. That is, organizing exhibitions of Party history books and works on local traditional images; organizing the contest "I love history" in the school system; Organize “Traditional History Talks”, organize leaders and civil servants to visit and offer flowers at Doc Ong Bang Revolutionary Historical Site, picnics at local “Red Address” relics, Provincial Party Committee’s Revolutionary Base, extracurricular activities on local history, Traditional Camps, etc. At the same time, direct the fight against false, hostile information, and distortions of Party history and traditional history.

La Gi Town has also published many works and publications to propagate, introduce, promote and educate the local revolutionary tradition to cadres, party members, civil servants, officials, union members, youth, students and all classes of people, especially the younger generation. Historical and revolutionary relics and monuments in the town are always preserved, embellished and promoted, becoming "Red Addresses" of the source in propaganda activities, education of revolutionary history, local traditional history. In addition, the Standing Committee of the Town Party Committee directed the propaganda, response and participation in the Online Quiz Contests to learn about Marxism - Leninism - Ho Chi Minh Thought, the history of the local Party Committee of Binh Thuan province to ensure completeness and timeliness; launched the Contest: "Learn about the 90-year historical tradition of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Party Committee of Binh Thuan province" in the town...

It can be said that the propaganda and education of the Party's revolutionary tradition, education of the Party's history, and local traditional history have raised the awareness of cadres, party members and people of the town; at the same time, grasped the revolutionary historical process of the Party through the periods; were proud of the tradition of generations of fathers and brothers who shed blood to protect the homeland and the country; recognized the merits and honored those who had contributed to the homeland and the country. Thereby, contributing to educating traditions, enhancing the will, revolutionary sentiment, leadership capacity, and fighting strength of cadres, party members and people in the locality.
