According to the adjustment of the Ministry of Finance - Ministry of Industry and Trade, from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon (May 22), gasoline prices increased by nearly 500 VND/liter compared to the current retail price.

Specifically, from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, the specific gasoline prices are as follows:

- E5RON92 gasoline: No higher than VND 20,488/liter (an increase of VND 357/liter compared to the current retail price), VND 1,011/liter lower than RON95-III gasoline;

- RON95-III gasoline: No higher than VND 21,499/liter (an increase of VND 499/liter compared to the current retail price);

- Diesel 0.05S: Not higher than VND 17,954/liter (increase of VND 301/liter compared to current retail price);

- Kerosene: Not higher than VND 17,969/liter (3 VND/liter lower than current retail price);

- Mazut oil 180CST 3.5S: Not higher than 15,158 VND/kg (increase 296 VND/kg compared to current retail price).

Thus, after three consecutive price reductions, from 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, gasoline prices have slightly increased again.

In this management period, the Ministry of Industry and Trade - Ministry of Finance will set aside the Price Stabilization Fund for E5RON92 gasoline at VND300/liter (same as the previous period), RON95 gasoline at VND300/liter (same as the previous period); diesel at VND300/liter (same as the previous period); kerosene at VND300/liter (same as the previous period); fuel oil at VND300/kg (same as the previous period). The Price Stabilization Fund will not be used for all gasoline and oil products.

The world oil market in this period of adjustment is affected by factors such as: Forecast of global crude oil demand continuing to increase this year due to China's demand and the impact of OPEC+ production cuts; concerns about the US debt ceiling, stagnant industrial activities and higher interest rates increasing the risk of economic recession... These factors have caused oil prices to fluctuate, but in general, they are increasing. On the other hand, the average price of finished oil products in the world during the price adjustment period also tends to increase.
