According to news from Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School, the school is requesting to increase the enrollment quota for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year.
Accordingly, it is expected that Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School will enroll 285 students in the 10th grade enrollment season in 2025. Specifically, 4 regular 10th grade classes with 180 students and 3 integrated classes with 105 students, an increase of 80 targets compared to last year.
Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School was established in May 2024, separated from Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted. Therefore, most of the management staff and teachers are people who have worked at Tran Dai Nghia High School for the Gifted before.
Currently, the school has 32 classrooms equipped with air conditioners, a dining area, a boarding house, a laboratory, an art room, a music room, a badminton court, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and a pickleball court. The school is located at 53 Nguyen Du, Ben Nghe Ward, District 1.
Last year, the admission scores for grade 10 of Tran Dai Nghia Secondary and High School were as follows:
Grade 10: 1st choice: 20/total score is 30 points, 2nd choice: 21 points, 3rd choice: 22 points.
Integrated grade 10: first choice: 32/total score 40 points, second choice: 32.5 points, third choice: 32.75 points.
Many new points about the 10th grade entrance exam
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said the 2025 10th grade entrance exam will take place on June 6 and 7. The math and literature exams will last 120 minutes and the foreign language exam will last 90 minutes. Candidates applying to specialized schools will take an additional specialized subject exam (150 minutes).
Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, informed: the city will increase the rate of students entering public 10th grade in the 2025-2026 school year. Last year, Ho Chi Minh City recruited 65% of junior high school graduates to study public 10th grade, this year the rate is at least 70%.
In some areas where high schools have many places to study, the rate of junior high school graduates entering public grade 10 will be higher - depending on the number of places available at each school - Mr. Hieu said.
