Visiting Nguyen Nhu Kon Tum Pedagogical Practice Primary School on the days when the school was busy preparing for the Vietnamese Teachers' Charter Day on November 20, we were led by the school's Board of Directors to visit the spacious "premises", with modern and practical teaching equipment aimed at beloved students and as the basis for implementing the "Happy School" model.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Lien, Principal of Nguyen Nhu Kon Tum Primary School, shared that “Happy School” is a model to foster and preserve love between teachers, between teachers and students, and between students. It is also a place to impart knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes to students, nurturing beautiful souls for generations of students. Building a “Happy School” is the foundation for creating a “Happy Classroom”, a driving force to nurture “happy people”.

Each classroom has a "Happiness Tree" where students express their thoughts, wishes, or assign tasks in class.

“Happy School” aims to build an open learning environment, creating opportunities for students to practice, improve their physical fitness, and experience a positive atmosphere. This is an environment where school violence, unethical behavior, and insulting behavior towards the dignity, honor, and body of teachers and students do not exist. To achieve this, the school’s staff, administrators, and teachers have actively implemented practical and effective content right from the beginning of the school year.

Specifically, right from the first day of the new school year, teachers and students built their own study corners and decorated the school grounds, making students feel like home. Each teacher assigned to teach always greeted and met the class in a friendly manner.

Through this, teachers introduce their subjects in an exciting way, creating joy and motivation for students in their studies. The school also regularly organizes meetings between homeroom teachers and the parents of the class. From there, they build content to accompany their children so that students can develop comprehensively.

The classrooms are decorated by the students themselves, expressing their ideas.

With a bright smile on her lips, Pham Le Anh Thu, class 3A5, Nguyen Nhu Kon Tum Primary School, said that she really likes going to school and class. Her lessons are designed by her teacher to be easy to learn and understand, combining a lot of knowledge so that the students are free to speak freely to understand more about the lesson, eagerly waiting for new lessons.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Lien openly said: In “Happy School”, the role of teachers is to build effective teaching sessions, students learn lessons without pressure or stress. Therefore, teachers need to flexibly integrate experiential and discovery activities for students. Create conditions for students to express their thoughts and aspirations, aiming to build a friendly, positive and effective environment. From there, students feel more love for school and friends. The school becomes a second home for them to live, study and develop.

Students arrange their own desks and chairs to serve the subject.

From spreading “Happy School”, students are always happy, active, flexible in many activities. The school’s students’ academic achievements are increasingly achieving high results. Students are interested in thinking, creating, and love experiential and exploratory activities. This is the basis for teachers to evaluate through the process of contacting and educating students, thereby finding good and effective ways to improve the quality of teaching and learning.

At the first meeting of the year, the homeroom teacher happily shared with the parents of her class about the content that she and her children learn and practice together to help them develop comprehensively. Sharing fun things, turning difficult things into easy things, impossible things into possible things...

Mr. Pham Tien Dung, parent of Pham Le Anh Thu, shared that parents were informed by the school about the models of "Happy School" and "Happy Classroom" so that there would be a connection between teachers and parents, from which there would be coordination between families and schools to gain sympathy, understanding and have the best direction to educate students according to their level and ability. From there, students will receive the best education to become good children, good students, and useful people for society in the future.

In celebration of the 42nd anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (November 20, 1982 - November 20, 2024), Nguyen Nhu Kon Tum Pedagogical Practice Primary School organized many diverse and practical activities to contribute to improving the quality of education in the school. Thereby, building a friendly, positive and healthy educational environment for students to study and develop comprehensively.

The school facilities are spacious and modern.

Ms. Le Thi Hong Lien expressed: “Every year, on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, is the time for the school to review the results of the programs and activities implemented in the past time. At the same time, this is the basis for the school to build specific goals and tasks in the coming time. Thereby, building practical and effective content contributes to improving the quality of education in the school, suitable for students”.

Nguyen Nhu Kon Tum Pedagogical Practice Primary School has organized a series of educational activities starting from October 15. The school has implemented specific contents such as: Launching a teaching and learning competition movement for teachers and students of the school; improving the effectiveness of clubs in the school; organizing an exhibition of students' products expressing their thoughts and feelings during their learning and living at school; organizing cultural and sports activities for students; promoting propaganda work to parents to accompany teachers in caring for and educating children.
