A clinic in Ho Chi Minh City has signs of duplicating test results.

On March 28, the Inspectorate of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health announced that it had suddenly inspected An Dong General Clinic at 360 An Duong Vuong, Ward 4, District 5.

Initial inspections revealed that this clinic had many violations in medical examination and treatment activities. Among them were signs related to the violation of duplicating test results.

Accordingly, the clinic organizes the operation of specialized clinics including surgical clinics, dermatology clinics, diagnostic imaging clinics and laboratories.

However, on the medical records, the clinic logo, and the website "phongkhamdakhoaandong.vn" all show "An Dong General Clinic", which is not suitable for the type of operation licensed by the Department of Health.

The Health Department Inspectorate also discovered that the professional in charge of the clinics and pharmacies were not present even though the clinics were operating.

The medical examination and treatment records are not fully updated, the outpatient medical records are not fully recorded, and the practitioner has not registered to practice medical examination and treatment according to regulations.

At the diagnostic imaging clinic, the inspection team noted that the computer stored many ultrasound images without patient information and ultrasound order forms.

The laboratory has not been approved by the Department of Health for its list of microbiological tests, and the company has not self-declared biosafety for the laboratory as prescribed.

On different test results, there are some urine test indicators with similar indexes.

In the immediate future, the Department of Health requires the ultrasound clinic and laboratory to temporarily suspend operations because there are many signs of violations in medical examination and treatment activities, not ensuring health care for patients when they come to use services at the clinic.

The Health Department Inspectorate continues to clarify the clinic's violations and resolutely handle them at the most severe level according to the law. The Health Department will continue to publicize the results of the inspection of this clinic in the coming time.

The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health recommends that people, when choosing a medical facility to use medical examination, treatment, cosmetic services... must research and verify information before deciding to use the service. On the same day, in order to rectify the activities at private clinics and ensure the rights and safety of patients, the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment requested the Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health to preside over and coordinate with law enforcement agencies to urgently inspect and verify the information reported by the press regarding the activities of An Dong General Clinic.
