At 9:00 p.m. on August 21, Mr. Pham Van Khang - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District - was present at the hall of Tay Mo 3 Primary School, sending the initial notice of the Department of Education and Training to parents, so that parents could return home with peace of mind after a long day of waiting for information.

Ensure legitimate rights for students

Working with parents, Mr. Khang said that implementing Decision 1388/QD-UBND dated July 4 of the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District on separating Tay Mo Primary School into Tay Mo Primary School and Tay Mo 3 Primary School, the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District has organized the separation of students according to the separation plan approved by the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District.

After the separation, the total number of students at Tay Mo 3 Primary School was 1,111. However, on August 21, Tay Mo 3 Primary School reported receiving 524 applications (as of 5:00 p.m. on August 21) from parents wishing to send their children to study at Tay Mo 3 Primary School.

"The Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District has coordinated with the People's Committee of Tay Mo Ward and related units to review, synthesize, and classify the subjects and report to the District People's Committee to propose solutions to ensure the legitimate rights of students according to regulations.

The Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District, Tay Mo Ward People's Committee, and Tay Mo 3 Primary School will notify parents after the District People's Committee approves the solution.

The official announcement time is at 2:00 p.m. on August 23 at Tay Mo 3 Primary School," Mr. Khang announced.

Mr. Khang affirmed that the Department of Education's viewpoint is to ensure legitimate rights for students and will have a plan to ensure the most appropriate learning opportunities according to regulations.

Tay Mo 3 Primary School does not conduct enrollment.

Responding to parents' questions about the enrollment of Tay Mo 3 Primary School, Ms. Le Thi Thanh Tam - Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Nam Tu Liem District - said that the enrollment has clear and specific regulations and plans, with enrollment for primary school from July 1 to July 3.

As for Tay Mo 3 School, according to Ms. Tam, the school does not carry out the enrollment work, but Tay Mo Primary School carries out the enrollment for grade 1.

"The transfer of 1,100 Tay Mo students to Tay Mo 3 is based on the parents' wishes. Before that, the school had distributed forms for parents to register their children to study in Tay Mo or Tay Mo 3.

For cases where the household registration is in Tay Mo and the students are studying at Ly Nam De Primary School, parents can rest assured and will take the students home," said Ms. Tam.

On the morning of August 21, more than 300 parents were present at Tay Mo 3 Primary School, Nam Tu Liem District, because the opening day was approaching but their children still did not know where to study, while the school announced that it had met its enrollment quota.

Many parents shared that their children had been waiting for nearly 3 months of summer with the hope of studying near home at Tay Mo 3 Primary School, but the news that "the school had reached its enrollment quota" surprised the parents and made them restless when their children had not yet submitted their application.

This is also the reason why hundreds of parents sit and wait from morning to night to question the school.

At 9:30 p.m., after the education department representative scheduled an appointment to answer the questions, the parents were able to return home with peace of mind.
