At Non Nuoc Ornamental Garden of Duc Thuy Son Ornamental Plants Club (Thanh Binh Ward - Ninh Binh City), thousands of ornamental plant works are always carefully cared for in an area of ​​3,000 m2. Mr. Vu Duc Thang, a member of Non Nuoc Ornamental Garden, said: As a member of Duc Thuy Son Ornamental Plants Club, Non Nuoc Ornamental Garden regularly participates in exhibitions inside and outside the province. Every year, the garden focuses on selecting outstanding and typical works to send to exhibitions in Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, etc.

The landscape garden owns over 100 green tree works that are considered excellent works of art such as: Luck, Peace, Solidarity, Happiness, Long Phuong Ky Duyen, Truc Quan Tu... From familiar trees such as: Sanh, Si, Mai Chieu Thuy, Bougainvillea, Barringtonia... through the skillful hands and artistic eyes, with experience of skilled artisans and gardeners, they have gradually become unique works of art, favored and sought after by many customers.

Non Nuoc Landscape Garden is also an address that attracts many customers and bonsai players from inside and outside the province. Revenue from bonsai activities at the landscape garden reaches 15-20 billion VND/year, deducting expenses for income from 1.5-2 billion VND/year, creating jobs for nearly 20 workers with income from 15-20 million VND/person/month.

In preparation for the expanded Red River Delta Ornamental Plants Exhibition with the theme "Quintessence of the Ancient Capital" in April 2024, the garden has selected about 50 typical works for the Ornamental Plants Association to judge and select works to participate in the exhibition. The garden hopes that through the Exhibition, it will continue to introduce to the people and visitors meaningful ornamental plant works, in line with the theme towards the 10th anniversary of the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage.   At the same time, this is also a useful playground for artisans to share experiences and techniques, improve professional qualifications, hone professional skills, connect with trade exchanges, and promote the development of the ornamental plant market.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Lac, Chairman of the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association, said: On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, the Organizing Committee of the Ornamental Plants Exhibition of the Red River Delta provinces in 2024 sent invitations to participate in the Exhibition and went directly to each province, city, district and city to select and judge works to bring to the exhibition.

Up to now, there have been works from the Ornamental Plant Association of 11 provinces and cities: Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Thai Binh, Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Hoa Binh... and some southern provinces accepting to participate in the Exhibition. In districts and cities, affiliated clubs and nearly 30 ornamental plant gardeners in the province are also actively preparing conditions to participate in the Exhibition.

Over the years, ornamental plant activities have gradually affirmed their role and position in socio-economic development in many localities in the province. With 7,200 members operating in 142/145 Ornamental Plant Associations of communes, wards and towns, 7 clubs under the Provincial Ornamental Plant Association and nearly 30 gardeners, the ornamental plant industry of the province has developed strongly, contributing positively to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas, becoming an economic development industry with stable income, opening up a way to get rich for many member families.

According to statistics from the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association, in 2023, revenue from buying, selling and exchanging ornamental plants and ornamental plant products in the province reached over 43 billion VND; each district and city currently has more than a dozen member families with high incomes, getting rich from ornamental plant activities.

To help members effectively carry out activities to bring ornamental plant products closer to the public, the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association has paid attention to organizing exhibitions at different scales: district level, provincial level, club level; proactively participating in ornamental plant exhibitions in provinces and cities across the country to exchange, introduce and promote ornamental plant products of Ninh Binh.

Preparing for the 2024 Red River Delta Provinces Ornamental Plants Exhibition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage, the Provincial Ornamental Plants Association plans to introduce about 1,000 works of art plants, bonsai and more than 2,000 service plants, ancient stones, driftwood, semi-precious stones, folk paintings, etc.

Through the exhibition and display of ornamental plants, the Ornamental Plants Association wishes to promote, advertise and introduce typical and unique ornamental plant products and the results of the ornamental plant movement of Ninh Binh to a large number of people and tourists, so that the public can admire the works created by the skillful and aesthetic hands of ornamental plant artisans of the ancient capital. At the same time, exchange, learn and consume ornamental plant products from provinces and cities in the Red River Delta as well as in districts and cities of the province.

The Ornamental Plants Exhibition also aims to encourage the movement of developing the ornamental plant economy, helping people and members to become rich sustainably, actively participate in changing the crop structure, contributing to improving the environment, beautifying villages, hamlets, and streets, towards building a green, clean, beautiful, and modern Ninh Binh province.

As planned, the 2024 Red River Delta Provinces Ornamental Plants Exhibition to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex being recognized by UNESCO as a World Cultural and Natural Heritage will take place from April 14-24, 2024 in the courtyard of the Ninh Binh Provincial Sports Stadium.
