Awarding ceremony of the 2024 City Excellent Tour Guide Contest

DNO - On December 7, the Department of Tourism organized the final round of the 2024 Da Nang City Excellent Tour Guide Competition.

The 2024 Da Nang City Excellent Tour Guide Competition attracted many tour guides to participate. After the preliminary round with the presentation and tour guide skills competitions, the organizing committee selected the 10 best candidates from the two categories of international and domestic tour guides to the final round.

In the final round, 10 contestants competed in 3 categories including a field test, making a video introducing 10 destinations, a thematic debate, and answering the judges' situational questions.

For the video contest, contestants make videos introducing 10 destinations. The organizers post these videos on the Danang FantastiCity fanpage and the tiktok@danangfantastic channel and calculate interaction points based on likes and shares. This is considered one of the differences of this year's contest, showing the adaptability of tour guides to the use of digital technology today.

At the end of the final round, the organizing committee awarded 2 first prizes to contestants Duong Tung Khuong and Nguyen Quoc Hai Hung, and 2 second prizes to contestants Huynh Kim Tai and Dang Thi My That. In addition, the organizing committee awarded 2 third prizes, 4 consolation prizes, and additional prizes to the contestant with the most favorite video, the contestant with the best speech performance, the contestant with the best talent performance, and the most enthusiastic and impressive cheerleading team.

The total prize value for the two international and domestic competitions is 90 million VND (cash and in kind).

The contest not only contributes to honoring the tour guide profession, but also spreads the spirit of enthusiasm and professionalism, arouses the passion for the profession of tour guides in the city, contributing to building a generation of good tour guides to join hands in building the image of Da Nang tourism.
