Scientific conference to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang city

On the morning of March 28, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee organized a scientific workshop to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Da Nang City Party Committee (March 28, 1930 - March 28, 2025) and the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Da Nang City (March 29, 1975 - March 29, 2025), with the theme "Continuing the heroic tradition - Da Nang strives to enter a new era". Attending the workshop were: Former Politburo member, former Standing member of the Secretariat Phan Dien; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Phan Xuan Thuy; leaders of central ministries, branches, Military Region 5 Command; provinces and cities in the Central region; former leaders of Da Nang City through the periods, Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, Heroes of Labor, retired generals and senior officials; experts and scientists. Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Da Nang City Nguyen Van Quang; Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh; Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee - Chairman of the City People's Committee Le Trung Chinh; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang and Chairman of the City Fatherland Front Committee Le Van Trung co-chaired the workshop.

At the beginning of the workshop, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented gifts to express gratitude to Vietnamese heroic mothers, armed forces heroes, labor heroes in the renovation period, contributing to the revolutionary struggle and the city's development during the 95th anniversary of the founding of the City Party Committee and the 50th anniversary of the liberation of Da Nang.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Dinh Vinh emphasized that along with the 95-year journey of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Party Committee, government and people of Da Nang city have always had full faith in the Party, strived to overcome difficulties and challenges, innovated and created, and risen from the "cradle of the Central revolution" to become a dynamic and key city of the Central region and the whole country.

Since its establishment on March 28, 1930, the Da Nang City Party Committee has promoted its leadership role, mobilized resources, gathered the strength of the great national unity bloc, implemented policies and strategies appropriate to each period, and achieved glorious victories in both the revolutionary struggle and the city's development, with many breakthroughs as today. From practice, many valuable lessons have been drawn.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee also said that promoting the revolutionary tradition, with the spirit of self-reliance, self-strengthening and the desire to rise up, finding new motivation for the rapid and sustainable development of the city; in recent times, the city has been consistent, persistent, proactive with high determination, great efforts, in proposing, advising and being issued by the Central Government many specific mechanisms and policies as a foundation, creating motivation for the sustainable and long-term development of the city. In response to new requirements, today's workshop is of great significance, contributing to the Party Committee, government and people of the city having an objective and scientific view of history, listening to research results, sharing, exchanging and giving advice on orientations and solutions for the city's development in the new period, together with the whole country entering the era of national development.

At the workshop, delegates, historical witnesses, experts, scientists, leaders of units and localities participated in many opinions clarifying the great values of the leadership role of the City Party Committee in the 95-year journey of construction and development; about the brilliant milestones in the struggle for national liberation and national reunification, with the historic moment on March 29, 1975, liberating the city, contributing to the liberation of the South and national reunification; The issues of building a strong Da Nang City Party Committee in politics, ideology, ethics and organization are the decisive factors for all victories; the flexible and wise policies of the Da Nang City Party Committee in leading the construction and development of Da Nang; the innovation of methods, improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization and Party members of Da Nang City in the new situation; solutions and policies to remove institutional bottlenecks so that Da Nang city can move forward into a new era; on promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in social supervision and criticism, contributing to the city's construction and development on developing socialist people in Da Nang in the context of international integration, along with many other important and core issues./.
