Groundbreaking Ceremony of 1,000-rack Data Center at Da Nang High-Tech Park

DNO - On the afternoon of March 27, Danang International Data Center Joint Stock Company held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Data Center at Danang High-Tech Park. Attending were Party Central Committee member, City Party Secretary, Head of the City National Assembly Delegation Nguyen Van Quang; Chairman of the City People's Council Ngo Xuan Thang; Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Ho Ky Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Quang said that Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation, has identified digital transformation as one of the driving forces for the development of Vietnam in general and localities in particular, and to successfully transform digitally, there must be digital infrastructure first.

Implementing Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW, Da Nang is striving to build a smart city, one of the centers of science and technology, innovation and especially the national digital transformation center.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee assessed that for successful digital transformation, data centers play a very important role. It can be said that the Da Nang Data Center is a driving force and key project in the high-tech sector with the largest scale in terms of racks in the area today.

Thereby, contributing significantly to the digital infrastructure ecosystem, especially in Da Nang High-Tech Park. The city leaders will continue to create the best conditions for the project to accelerate progress and soon come into operation.

It is known that Da Nang Data Center is built at Lot H4, Da Nang High-Tech Park with a total investment of 800 billion VND in phase 1, and 1,200 billion VND in phase 2. This is 1 of 4 projects awarded investment certificates within the framework of the event "Forum of Friendship and Cooperation Cities - Da Nang 2025".

The project is deployed on an area of ​​2 hectares, with a total construction area of ​​10,400m², a total floor area of ​​17,852m², and the number of racks up to 1,000 racks. The total capacity is 18.5 MW. The center is designed according to international standards TIA-942C Rated-3 and Uptime Tier-3, ensuring stable, safe and high-performance operation.

On this occasion, representatives of Danang International Data Center Joint Stock Company signed with partners: China Mobile International Company Limited (Vietnam), FPT International Telecommunication Company Limited, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) - Danang branch, Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development (BIDV) - Thanh Xuan branch, Smart Energy Management Joint Stock Company to support and accompany the Danang Data Center project to soon come into operation.
