Mong Cai City grants support funds to aquaculture households in the first phase of 2025

On January 24, in Tra Co ward, Mong Cai city, a fund was awarded to support recovery and production restoration for households raising vine mussels damaged by storm No. 3 (Yagi) phase 1.

Following the direction of the City People's Committee, Tra Co Ward has reviewed, inspected and assessed the situation, established records; and at the same time, provided the first round of support to 45 households raising barnacles damaged by storm No. 3 in the ward with a total support budget of over 1.6 billion VND.

It is estimated that the total area of ​​aquaculture households damaged by storm Yagi in the city is 24.5 hectares; the total damage is 173.6 billion VND.

Mong Cai City grants support funds to first phase of aquaculture households.

This time, Mong Cai City plans to pay 102 households with a total budget of over 4 billion VND from the fund for mobilizing, receiving, distributing and using voluntary contributions according to the appeal letter of the City Fatherland Front Committee in the past (not using the State budget) to support affected households.

The funding support has created conditions for aquaculture households to have more resources to stabilize their lives and restore production and business activities. Mong Cai City is also directing the acceleration of the transfer of aquaculture water surface area according to the planning, in conjunction with replacing foam buoys with HDPE plastic buoys, contributing to environmental protection and marine resources protection.
