Ha Long City starts essential infrastructure projects in mountainous communes

On the afternoon of December 28, Ha Long City solemnly held a groundbreaking ceremony for the Infrastructure Improvement Investment Project in the central areas of Dong Son and Dan Chu communes and the Clean Water Supply System Construction Project in Dong Son commune. These are essential social infrastructure projects to promote socio-economic development and improve the quality of life for people in the mountainous communes of Ha Long City.

Delegates performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the Investment Project to renovate infrastructure in the central area of ​​Dong Son commune and the Project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Dong Son commune.

The Dong Son Commune Central Infrastructure Improvement Investment Project is invested with the goal of ensuring environmental sanitation and drainage in the central area of ​​the commune; ensuring safety for people when participating in traffic. At the same time, it is the basis for forming an urban area on both sides of the road with modern landscape architecture, synchronous in architecture and technical infrastructure, in harmony between the existing landscape and newly built areas. The project has a total investment of 20.2 billion VND. The investment scale of the project includes: Investment in construction and renovation of 6 traffic routes with a total length of more than 1km; sidewalks, trees; rainwater drainage system, earth retaining embankment; low-voltage power system and lighting.

The central area of ​​Dong Son commune (Ha Long city) is preparing to invest in a synchronous essential infrastructure system to ensure environmental sanitation, drainage and safety for the people.

The project to build a centralized clean water supply system in Dong Son commune is one of four rural clean water projects of Ha Long city that have been and are being implemented to complete the target of 80% of rural households using clean water that meets current standards and the criteria of advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas of the communes; contributing to the good implementation of the rural clean water supply project of Quang Ninh province until 2025. The project has a total approved investment of 30.3 billion VND. The investment scale includes: Dam; raw water pumping station, raw water supply pipeline with a capacity of 500m3/day and night including; clean water treatment area; clean water supply network and electricity supply. The project implementation period is 180 days.

In Dan Chu commune, Ha Long city has organized the groundbreaking ceremony of the Infrastructure Improvement Investment Project in the central area of ​​the commune with the goal of ensuring traffic safety, ensuring environmental sanitation, drainage in the central area of ​​the commune; as a basis for forming an urban area on both sides of the road with modern landscape architecture space, synchronous in architecture and technical infrastructure. The project has a total investment of 21.3 billion VND. The investment scale of the project includes: Renovation of 3 traffic routes with a total length of about 1.1km; sidewalks, trees; protective embankments and rainwater drainage systems along with low-voltage power and lighting systems. The implementation time of the above 2 projects is 180 days.

Ha Long City's implementation of the above essential social infrastructure projects is the foundation and premise to promote the city's mountainous communes to continue to develop comprehensively in all socio-economic aspects; improve the quality of life and living standards of the people.

People of Dan Chu commune (Ha Long city) were happy and excited at the groundbreaking ceremony of the project to invest in upgrading infrastructure in the central area of ​​the commune.

The projects that have been started are also clear evidence of Ha Long City's attention and investment in the highland communes, where people are making constant efforts to build a better life, towards realizing Resolution No. 78-NQ/TU dated January 2, 2024 of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on prioritizing resources, exploiting potentials, and promoting socio-economic development of communes by 2025, with a vision to 2030.
