Young people of Kien Giang armed forces organize a trip to their roots

Lieutenant Colonel Duong Huu Nghi - Deputy Chief of Political Department of Kien Giang Provincial Military Command said that in recent years, the youth of the provincial armed forces have enthusiastically carried out the two strategic tasks of building and defending the Fatherland. Youth union members of the Kien Giang provincial armed forces have participated in the movements "Provincial armed forces participate in building new rural areas" and "Provincial armed forces join hands for the poor - no one is left behind".

In 2024, the youth of the provincial armed forces participated in supporting the construction of 6 houses, giving gifts to families with preferential policies, bicycles to poor students who have overcome difficulties to study well, lighting up rural roads, children's playgrounds, medical examination and treatment, and providing medicine to people with a total value of over 800 million VND.

The meaningful work of the youth of the armed forces of Kien Giang province has developed widely, contributing to the effective implementation of propaganda work on the Party's guidelines and policies, and the State's laws.   The State comes to the people, further strengthening the solidarity between the army and the people.

Lieutenant Tran Huynh Thi Le Huyen - Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the General Staff Department of Kien Giang Provincial Military Command presented gifts to students who overcame difficulties to study well.

Lieutenant Colonel Duong Huu Nghi said that in the coming time, the youth of the armed forces of Kien Giang province need to promote a good sense of responsibility, be exemplary, and proactive in overcoming all difficulties and excellently completing assigned tasks. In the immediate future, we must compete to train well, strictly observe discipline, and be highly combat-ready, contributing to building a clean and strong Party organization, building strong, comprehensive, exemplary, and typical agencies and units. Carry out activities related to resources, culture, arts, physical education, and sports closely, constantly innovating forms and contents towards quality, practicality, and efficiency, ensuring absolute safety.

On this occasion, the Military Command of Kien Giang province coordinated with the Women's Union of Giong Rieng district, Saigon Tam Duc Dental Group, and the Youth Activity Center of Kien Giang province to present 40 gifts to former youth volunteers, policy families, militia and self-defense forces, reserve soldiers, and households in difficult circumstances, and presented 20 scholarships in the "Nurturing knowledge" model for poor students who have overcome difficulties and studied well in Giong Rieng district.

Senior Lieutenant Tran Quoc Huy - Secretary of the Youth Union of the Logistics - Technical Department of Kien Giang Provincial Military Command presented gifts to militia and self-defense soldiers.
