President Joe Biden's visit to Vietnam this time, marking a decade since the two countries established and implemented the Comprehensive Partnership (2013 - 2023), is a continuation of the visits to Vietnam by the heads of the White House, President Bill Clinton (2000), President George Bush (2006), President Obama (2016) and President Donald Trump (2017), over the past nearly 30 years.

The good achievements of the bilateral relationship over the past three decades are the basis to affirm that the State visit of US President Joe Biden to Vietnam will continue to be a meaningful milestone on the common journey for peace, stability, cooperation and sustainable development in the region and the world of the two countries.
