Total number of guests staying will reach nearly 11 million in 2024

In 2024, the number of guests served by Da Nang's accommodation establishments is estimated to reach nearly 10.9 million, an increase of 32.8% compared to 2023.

On December 27, at the conference to deploy the Da Nang tourism development plan in 2025, Deputy Director of the Da Nang Department of Tourism Nguyen Thi Hoai An said that in 2024, the number of guests served by Da Nang accommodation establishments is estimated to reach nearly 10.9 million domestic and international visitors (an increase of 32.8% compared to 2023).

Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in 2024 is estimated to reach more than 31 trillion VND (up 22.1% compared to 2023, equal to 146% compared to 2019, exceeding 10.8% compared to the 2024 plan).

There are currently 23 routes to Da Nang (7 domestic routes and 16 regular international routes). In 2024, there will be 2 airlines operating for the first time in Da Nang: Malaysia Airlines (operating the Kuala Lumpur - Da Nang route), Hong Kong Airlines operating the Hong Kong (China) - Da Nang route; opening a charter flight from Jakarta (Indonesia), with an average frequency of 111 flights/day to Da Nang (including 52 international flights, 59 domestic flights).

In 2024, Da Nang is expected to welcome 41,000 sea tourists (an increase of 122% compared to 2023).

Da Nang Tourism Department has completed synchronizing information, data and interface of Danang Fantasticity Application on 2 operating systems Android and IOS with Da Nang Tourism Portal; deploying VR360 virtual reality technology phase 3 and developing Vrmall feature. Da Nang Department of Tourism is ranked 2/24 Departments (excellent) in digital transformation in 2023, ranked 2nd in the Departmental Competitiveness Index (DDCI).

In 2025, Da Nang aims to welcome more than 11.9 million domestic and international visitors (an increase of 10% compared to 2024, equal to 149% compared to 2019). Revenue from accommodation, food and beverage, and travel in 2025 strives to reach more than 36 trillion VND (an increase of more than 15% compared to 2024, equal to 169% compared to 2019).

Information at the Conference also said that the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2025 (DIFF 2025) with the theme "Da Nang - New Era" conveys the message of 50 years of integration and development of Da Nang, expected to take place from May 31 to July 12, 2025 with 10 competing teams and 6 performance nights.

DIFF 2025 will have 10 competing teams from Poland, Finland, Portugal, England, Korea, Italy, Canada, China and 2 host teams from Vietnam. This is also the first time in DIFF history that there will be the largest number of competing teams (especially 2 competing teams from Korea and China, 2 countries in the list of 10 markets with the most tourists to Da Nang).
