Before the news that the Shark Jaw building was about to be demolished, many people and tourists visited, checked in and took pictures of this special building.
On the afternoon of March 18, although it was not a weekend, many people and tourists came to the "Shark Jaw" building at 7 Dinh Tien Hoang (Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi) to take souvenir photos before the building was demolished.
Many people also brought bicycles, flowers, and national flags to take pictures and check-in.
The "Shark Jaw" building started construction in 1991 and was completed in 1993, built on the old tram station and Ho Bo Department Store. This is considered a gathering and dating spot for Hanoians and tourists when coming to Hoan Kiem Lake because of its beautiful view, especially during fireworks displays on holidays and Tet.
Young people flocked to "Shark Jaws" to take souvenir photos before the building was demolished.
Along with that, many elderly and middle-aged people also take the opportunity to come here to check-in, keeping nostalgic moments next to the "Shark Jaw" building.

Before the news of the building being demolished, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich (Cau Giay district) shared: "Although I feel a bit regretful, I think that demolishing the building will help expand the entertainment space at Hoan Kiem Lake."
Many international tourists also took the opportunity to capture moments in front of the building during their time traveling in Hanoi.

International tourists also took the opportunity to capture the moment when the capital's residents took photos and checked in next to the "Shark Jaw" building. Mr. Andy (a tourist from the US) said: "Before traveling to Vietnam, I had researched this place. However, when I arrived here, I found out that this building was about to be demolished. I felt quite sorry because although the public space was expanded, a building that was meaningful to the people here would be lost."
