In this emotional moment, I cannot forget the memory of meeting General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong three times, including a special occasion at the Emulation Congress for Victory of the Whole Army. This was the first time I had the chance to talk and the General Secretary kindly advised me: “The Northwest has many more difficulties than the plains. As a general officer, you must always promote the qualities of Uncle Ho’s soldiers. And always remember that no matter what position you hold, you must be a servant of the people, a servant of the soldiers. You must be exemplary in your words and actions. No matter how small the work is, it is beneficial to the people and the soldiers; no matter how small it is, it is not allowed to do anything harmful to the people and the soldiers…”

That is an unforgettable impression for me about General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong - a staunch revolutionary, always simple and close. He is also a man of the Party, of the People, of the cadres, soldiers and people of the whole country. He is a bright example of practicing thrift, the core of building a strong Party, in terms of politics, ideology and organization; a leading example in all patriotic emulation movements. He is also a man of innovation, with great contributions to developing Marxism-Leninism and Ho Chi Minh thought in the practice of the Vietnamese revolution, in the cause of innovation of the Party. He, together with the Politburo and the Central Executive Committee, resolutely fought against corruption, with the determination to make our Party increasingly clean and strong. It was he who strengthened the confidence of the entire people and army in the cause of building and developing a powerful Vietnam.

The General Secretary is a steadfast ideological support for the young generation.

The passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong is a great loss for the country. His passing brings great regret and sorrow to all classes of people, including the younger generation.

I myself in particular and young people in general have many opportunities to access and learn about the research, theories and books written by the General Secretary. Through that, we have a clearer understanding of the leadership role of the Party, especially in the process of advancing to socialism in our country. General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong has an exemplary lifestyle, his words and teachings are simple but extremely valuable, profound and contemporary; especially the General Secretary's wish to build our Party increasingly clean and strong has fostered and fostered a steadfast will and good aspirations for the young generation.

The young generation of Dien Bien has watched a film about the life and career of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong; and seen the bright and exemplary example of the General Secretary in studying and training. As young people in a mountainous province with many difficulties, in the future becoming teachers and incubators of knowledge, the youth union members of Dien Bien Pedagogical College will continue the fine traditions of the nation, have a clearer direction for themselves in the career of "growing people". All strive to follow the example of the General Secretary and carry out well the General Secretary's instructions in the process of studying and working, contributing to building the homeland and the country.

Grateful for the great contributions of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong

When I heard the news that General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong had passed away after a period of illness, I was extremely surprised and deeply saddened by his passing. This is a great loss to the Party, State and People of Vietnam because they have lost a talented and excellent leader who devoted his entire life to the revolutionary cause of the Party and our nation.

Under the leadership of the Party, headed by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, our Party has achieved many great achievements in the fields of economic development, national defense and security, national renewal, foiling all sabotage plots of hostile forces, building our Party to be truly "ethical and civilized". With strategic vision and sharp thinking, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the Party Central Committee have continuously built an increasingly clean and strong Party, built a socialist rule-of-law State of the people, by the people, for the people; led the successful implementation of the renewal policy, building our country "to have never had the foundation, potential, prestige and international position as today".

In particular, in the work of Party building, under the leadership of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, our Party has successfully implemented the strategic policy on Party building and rectification; resolutely and persistently fighting against individualism, ideological, political, moral and lifestyle degradation, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" among cadres and Party members; fighting against corruption and negativity while constantly cultivating revolutionary ethics, mettle, intellectual level, pioneering spirit, promoting fine traditions, and close ties with the people...

The people of the whole country are extremely grateful for the great contributions and dedication of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to the revolutionary cause of our Party and people. The General Secretary is truly a typical and exemplary model of revolutionary ethics, impartiality, simple lifestyle, democratic, dedicated and scientific working style... respected and loved by cadres, Party members and the people.

The image of a simple, approachable leader who devoted his entire life to the country and the people will forever be engraved in the minds and hearts of generations of Vietnamese people. Overcoming the great pain and loss of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong's passing, I believe that with the correct and wise leadership of the Party, our country will continue to innovate and achieve many great achievements in all fields, enhancing its role and position in the international arena.
