On the evening of May 12, the final round of the Vietnam Robot Creation Contest 2024 took place at the Tay Ho Culture, Information and Sports Center (Hanoi).
Robocon is a familiar playground of Vietnam Television for students from universities, colleges and technical schools nationwide.
Many generations of Robocon students have matured in work and life after coming out of this playground, becoming managers, scientists, and businessmen in many fields.
The theme of this year's competition is 'Harvest Day', inspired by the activity of growing rice on terraced fields - a typical cultural feature of Vietnam. The robots will have the tasks of planting rice, harvesting rice and transporting rice to the warehouse, requiring robots to be intelligent, skillful, precise and flexible.
After the preliminary round, from 64 teams representing 23 schools, 32 teams were selected to participate in the Robocon 2024 final round.
Here, 32 teams are divided into 8 groups, each group has 4 teams, competing in a round robin, selecting the first and second teams to enter the round of 16.
In the round of 16, 16 teams are divided into 8 pairs, competing in a knockout round, selecting 8 winning teams to advance to the quarter-finals.
After passing the quarterfinals, the winning teams will move on to the semi-finals and finals to find the champion of Robocon Vietnam 2024.
The final match of the Vietnam Robotics Competition 2024 was a competition between two teams, SKH - CK1 and SKH AUTOMATION, both from Hung Yen University of Technical Education. With a higher score, SKH AUTOMATION won.
In the end, the champion of Robocon Vietnam 2024 was awarded to SKH AUTOMATION. Second prize was awarded to SKH - CK1. The two teams sharing the third prize were SKH - TECH (Hung Yen University of Technical Education) and LH-J4F (Lac Hong University).
Both teams SKH AUTOMATION and SKH - CK1 will represent Vietnam at the Asia-Pacific Robot Contest (ABU Robocon) 2024 taking place in Quang Ninh this August.
