Nha Trang Bay Management Board has also cordoned off the area, installed buoys and posted warning signs prohibiting swimming, and assigned lifeguards to remind residents and tourists not to swim in the area.
Previously, a resident of Tan Tien ward, Nha Trang city reported that his 5-year-old nephew went swimming in the above-mentioned area and collided with a sharp object in the sea, causing a deep wound on his left foot, requiring a tetanus vaccine and five stitches.
In addition to this case, there are also a number of residents and tourists who said they were injured by sharp, hard objects on their legs while swimming in the sea.

Immediately after receiving the information from the people, Nha Trang Bay Management Board assigned rescue workers to conduct inspections and reviews and discovered obstacles under the sand in the sea area in front of 80 Tran Phu, Loc Tho Ward, Nha Trang City. This location is also where the incident of barge KH-98968 TS ran aground occurred at the end of 2019. It is likely that the remaining obstacles in this area are iron sections of the barge exposed by the impact of sea waves, posing a potential danger to people and tourists swimming in the sea.
According to Nha Trang City People's Committee, after Nha Trang Bay Management Board and Nha Trang City Department of Economics, Infrastructure and Urban Areas submit a feasible plan, they will urgently direct the removal of obstacles to ensure safety for people and tourists when swimming in the sea.
