ADMM-17 is expected to discuss and adopt the Guidelines for Timor Leste's observer status at ADMM, ADMM+ and related meetings; the Report of the ASEAN Defense Senior Officials' Meeting (ADSOM) and the ADMM Work Programme for the 2023-2026 period.
The conference will also consider and adopt many documents, including the Draft Concept Paper on the Implementation of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific in the Defense Sector and Harmonization of ADMM and ADMM+ Initiatives; Draft Discussion Paper on the Use of Military Assets of ASEAN Member States to Support Food Security in the Region; Draft Jakarta Joint Declaration for Peace, Prosperity and Security.
Meanwhile, the 10th ADMM+ is expected to exchange views on regional and international security issues; announce the new ADMM+ Expert Working Group Co-Chairs for the 2024-2027 period; adopt the draft Joint Statement of the Conference on Women, Peace and Security and discuss other issues of mutual concern.
On the sidelines of the conference, ASEAN and US Defense Ministers will hold an informal meeting to discuss enhancing ASEAN's capacity to address growing threats in the Indo-Pacific region, as well as exchange views and opportunities for cooperation to enhance ASEAN's defense institutional capacity and expand ASEAN-US cooperation activities, including the organization of joint military exercises.
On this occasion, the ASEAN and Japanese Defense Ministers will also have an informal meeting, focusing on discussing the progress of defense cooperation between the two sides in the coming time.

The Vietnamese delegation led by General Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, Minister of National Defense, will attend this conference to continue affirming Vietnam's role as a proactive, active, and responsible member of ASEAN in general, and in ASEAN defense-military cooperation in particular, contributing to promoting defense cooperation within ASEAN, as well as between ASEAN and its partners, in an increasingly practical and effective manner.
