On May 17-18, in Ho Chi Minh City, the Center for Information Technology and Digital Technology, the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in coordination with the Department of Industry and Trade of Tra Vinh province will organize a program to connect the market with e-commerce platforms to support businesses, cooperatives, and production facilities in Tra Vinh province to sell online.
This event is part of the National E-commerce Support Program for Enterprises chaired by the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy. Along with the action plan of the Tra Vinh Small and Medium Enterprise Development Project in 2023 (SME Tra Vinh), the Center for Information Technology and Digital Technology will coordinate with the Tra Vinh Department of Industry and Trade to organize meetings and connect businesses with e-commerce platforms such as: Tiki, Lazada, Droppii and work with Accesstrade to guide businesses, cooperatives, and business households in Tra Vinh province on how to deploy sales through the Tiktok Shop platform.

In addition to the general goal of the Tra Vinh SME Project, which is to accelerate the development speed and enhance the competitiveness of small and medium enterprises, creating a favorable and healthy investment and business environment for enterprises to contribute more and more to economic development. The program also aims at a more specific goal, which is to support Tra Vinh provincial officials to gain more experience and improve their professional capacity; help enterprises, cooperatives, and production facilities apply e-commerce to sell online, expand the consumer market, and contribute to the sustainable development of enterprises in the area.
During the two-day program, businesses, cooperatives, and business households will receive information from representatives of the Department of E-commerce and Digital Economy and experts from e-commerce platforms about the Go Online National E-commerce Application Support Program for Enterprises; guidance and support for businesses, cooperatives, production and business households on the process of participating in promoting, introducing, and livestreaming sales on multi-channel digital platforms such as Tiktok Shop; guidance and support for businesses to participate and promote sales on e-commerce platforms Lazada, Tiki, Droppii, etc.
Tra Vinh has key products such as: Rice, coconut and coconut products (activated carbon, coconut fiber mats, coconut peat, coconut milk ...), fruits (mangosteen, rambutan, mango, dragon fruit, orange, longan, green-skinned grapefruit); seafood (snakehead fish, giant freshwater prawn, tiger prawn, white-leg shrimp, sea crab, clams - blood cockles). With many advantages in processed food products, agricultural products, fruits ... The program is expected to support and connect effectively to help promote market linkages for the consumption of these local priority products.
With practical and useful content from e-commerce platform providers, this program will help businesses in Tra Vinh province access information, improve skills, and understand the process from participation, promotion to increasing product sales on e-commerce channels and digital platforms to serve their business activities.

In recent times, aiming at the goal of developing green, clean, and smart agriculture, Tra Vinh province has actively supported enterprises, cooperatives, and business households to invest in innovation of equipment and processing technology to improve productivity, quality, and competitiveness. Implementing the national One Commune One Product (OCOP) program, up to now, the province has 285 OCOP products with 3-star ratings or higher. Putting OCOP products on e-commerce platforms helps the province develop advantageous agricultural and service products in an effective and sustainable manner.
It is known that the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Tra Vinh province has coordinated with Smart life Technology and Communication Joint Stock Company to support Tra Vinh Farm Company Limited, Tieu Can district to bring coconut nectar products with 4-star OCOP rating to the clean agricultural products trading floor Azuamua.com and have been welcomed by domestic and international markets.
Mr. Huynh Sa Ray, Head of the Luong Hoa A High-Tech Color Growing Team, Chau Thanh District, excitedly said that, benefiting from the province's support policy, in August 2022, members of the color growing team brought 3-star OCOP-rated melon products to the e-commerce site "Supply - Demand Connection Portal" of VNPT. This activity helps customers and businesses learn about and link to supply the team's melon products more quickly and conveniently.
The Women's Union of Tra Vinh province also cooperated with Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited, Cau Ke district to implement the model of "Consuming products on the electronic platform Vicosap.vn". Ms. Lam Ngoc Tu, Deputy Director of Cau Ke Wax Coconut Processing Company Limited, said that the electronic platform Vicosap.vn operates on the website platform: Vicosap.vn and the software (App) named Vicosap operating on mobile devices. This is also a bridge for startups, introducing products to customers, especially startups of women in Tra Vinh province.
