Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed that when the whole country is jubilantly celebrating National Day September 2 - the day beloved President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence, giving birth to the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, it is also the time when students across the country are bustling to enter the new school year.
According to the Prime Minister, in the joyful and excited atmosphere of the whole country and the opening day of the school year of beloved students, the delegates were very happy and moved to attend the opening ceremony of the 2024-2025 school year of Nguyen Dinh Chieu Secondary School - a school established in 1982, with the mission of educating visually impaired children of Hanoi so that they can integrate into the community, live independently, and contribute to society with core values of humanity, responsibility, creativity, integration and development.
On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the Prime Minister cordially sends to the distinguished delegates, teachers and students of Nguyen Dinh Chieu School in particular and all teachers and students across the country in general, my respectful greetings, warm regards and best wishes; wishing the 2024-2025 school year to achieve better results than the previous school year.
The Prime Minister stated that in the new school year 2024-2025, further promoting the achieved results, making efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, the education sector in particular and the whole country in general need to continue to synchronously and effectively implement tasks and solutions for fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training with the motto: "Taking students as the center and subject - Teachers as the driving force - Schools as the support - Families as the fulcrum - Society as the foundation". The Prime Minister requested that the Ministry of Education and Training, ministries, branches and localities continue to create fundamental factors for the development of education and training, creating an advanced and healthy environment in terms of law, culture, ethics and knowledge, promoting a learning society, especially favorable conditions for students with disabilities and those in difficult circumstances.
The Prime Minister noted that it is important to focus on implementing the General Education Program in conjunction with innovating teaching, testing and assessment methods in the direction of promoting students' positivity and initiative; regularly updating and applying advanced educational methods, inheriting and promoting achievements in science and technology, information technology, digital technology, and developing in line with current educational trends in the world.
Complete the national education system in an open, fair, and equitable direction, promote a learning society and create lifelong learning opportunities; urgently complete the planning of the system of specialized educational facilities for people with disabilities and the system of centers to support the development of inclusive education.
Improve the quality of education, diversify training models, programs, and learning methods suitable for learners. Strengthen community integration education for people with disabilities and children in special circumstances; focusing on inclusive education in preschool and general education institutions to ensure equal, quality, and appropriate learning rights for children to develop their own abilities, integrate, and contribute to the community and society.
The Prime Minister wished the entire team of education managers, teachers and lecturers to always promote their sense of responsibility and enthusiasm for the profession, overcome all difficulties, overcome all challenges, persevere in the goal of fundamental and comprehensive innovation in education and training, all for the sake of beloved students, meet the expectations of the Party, State and people, wish students always be healthy, happy, study well and be optimistic in life, achieve their dreams and ambitions, contribute to making the Vietnamese nation a wise nation - as taught by beloved President Ho Chi Minh.
